Dundee controversially went down to their fourth successive home defeat at Dens today, in a game that hinged on two decisions by referee Steven McLean, who mistakenly red carded Rab Douglas after 24 minutes, then just after half time failed to send off Chris Erskine for a dangerous challenge with his elbow on Neil McGregor.

It wasn't pretty and it wasn't stylish but Ryan Conroy's 83rd minute winner prompted the biggest roar we've heard at Dens Park all season.

Dundee recorded their sixth successive win and moved up to second in the table with a close but deserved 2-1 win over Queen of the South at Dens Park today. The Dee seemed to be cruising at half time. Jake Hyde and Nicky Riley had put Dundee two goals ahead of Queens, who were down to 10 men.

Dundee's fine recent run came to a disappointing end with a 1-0 defeat at home to Morton today. Morton also won 1-0 at Dens Park in August, and in many ways today's defeat was reminiscent of the Dee's early season poor spell.
