This is an update to inform everyone that there have been two hacking attempts on our server over the last three weeks. While one of these attempts was successful and the other failed, we can assure our members that there have been no breaches of data, personal or otherwise, that could lead to any personal information being leaked. Since these attacks, I have implemented measures to prevent this from happening again in the future.

Just thought I would share some info with you all regarding the forum. In the last 7 days (until the transfer window), the forum has broken some records that had stood for a good few years. This transfer window we saw the most page requests, 4 million (+50%), 182k visitors (+6.5%) and around 500k page requests +40%. While that might seem small compared to some sites, that's more than pretty decent for us. This year has broken all our other transfer windows records, except page view's, but I suppose we can't have it all. Yesterday, we broke our Ad revenue for one day by +200%, and this month broke our ad revenue record by +25% since we started showing Ads. W…

We have reduced the number of adverts shown on the site. Google AdSense has been running 'experiments' in the background and changing our default settings, which increased the number of adverts shown on the forum. We have removed the auto ads that placed tags, floating ads, and inserted ads into posts and articles, which we did not want. We thought that the number of adverts shown, especially on mobile devices, was excessive at times. Hopefully, these changes will be a little less intrusive and speed up the forum.

We have streamlined the main Dundee Football Club forums to make it easier to navigate and remove content that you do not want. Under the original way, you would have to scroll past the sub forums to get to the main content, which I presume that most of you were only interested in. With the new changes, you will no longer need to scroll past the Tickets and News forums to get to the main content. We have temporarily put the main forum to members only. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to all our friends out there who like to read the forum without signing in. I am not going to go into any details, but we hope to have the main forum back open ASAP. We have also introduced another change to the registration and users profile information. Just a small update to changes and fixes for those of you who have Gold Membership. Seems there were a few small bugs which affected your accounts and these have since been corrected. Adverts: If some of you who have Gold membership were seeing Adverts while visiting the forum on mobile devices, this has now been corrected. Editing Posts: Editing posts has now been corrected. Gold Members should have been able to edit posts without a time limit (Normally 24 hours after creating your post). Hi Everyone, The website and forum underwent some upgrades which will affect some of our users. All of our themes were upgraded/fine-tuned, and some themes were removed as they were not used over a long period of time. For those of you who had selected our Night Mode theme, you will have to reselect the theme again. My apologies regarding this matter, but there was no way around this issue which prevent me upgrading as per normal. As from today, we will no longer support or use any of Facebook's features or API's. They have made it practically impossible for developers to use with their recent and up-and-coming changes. If you signed up using Facebook, you should still be able to sign in using your email address and password that you had for your Facebook account. If you find that you cannot sign in using your Facebook Password. Use the email address you had with Facebook at the time you created your account here, and then use the forgotten Password option to create a new password. If you have issues signing in with your Facebook account, please contact us via our support.

A couple of months ago, I made some changes to the swear words filter, and I got it all wrong! The 'Word Filter' on posts options changed with an update to the forum software, and this allowed a third option to put a block on words at the time of submission. Basically, blocking you from using some words until they were removed. This behaviour has now changed, and we have gone back to obfuscating words instead.
