Had Shay Logan in my team until the last minute when I realised I had 3 Aberdeen players haha. Found picking the back 4 the hardest, originally had Lewis in goal, but wouldn't have got the 2 attacking players in. Top

Yeah, there is no way to predict who is gonna end up with a clean sheet. Top
Cobra 7,392 #79 Posted 2 August 2017 This is a minor point but I've realised I'd quite like to hang on to my Anderlecht programme so I might offer the winner £50 to hang on to it. I have committed to letting it go though so I will not be going back on that. Top
Harry94 2,872 #80 Posted 2 August 2017 Went with the old 4-3-3. I'm banking on O'Dea getting a few goals from set pieces with Allan assists and being allowed to hit penalties. Got a wee feeling Motherwell will struggle this season and lose Moult at the last minute so tipped them for the automatic drop. I like my team names to be subtle and witty so I'm calling myself 'Sofien Moussa will fucking kill you'. Team Zander Clark (St Johnstone) James Tavernier (Rangers)----Darren O'Dea (Dundee)----Sean Kelly (Ross County)----Lee Wallace (Rangers) Ryan Christie (Aberdeen)----Scott Allan (Dundee)----Gary Mackay-Steven (Aberdeen) Kyle Lafferty (Hearts)----Leigh Griffiths (Celtic)----Isma Goncalves (Hearts) Tie Breaker Champions - Celtic Bottom Placed Team - Motherwell Leagues Top Scorer - Leigh Griffiths Top
Cobra 7,392 #81 Posted 2 August 2017 Thanks Harry for sending in your team. I am a bit concerned about the point you raised, i.e. clubs not providing accurate information. All I can say is this... I will do my best to provide accurate information on squads and if there is a dispute about a certain player I'll try to be reasonable. The key thing for me is fairness so I'll aim to do what seems fair. Given that I haven't run the competion before I anticipate a bit of conflict but hopefully nothing that can't be resolved. We can always negotiate at the end of the season but my intention is to not go back on any promise as it damages the integrity of the competition. Cobra 7,392 #90 Posted 2 August 2017 I don't think the Record or Sun are doing a fantasy league for Scottish football. If that's case then I'll offer a cash prize alternative to non-Dees. I have absolutely no idea if that affects readers of this site but I'll post this just in case. Top

Cobra 7,392 #92 Posted 2 August 2017 I'm going to confirm now that the competition will be going ahead. I don't think it would be right to cancel it when people have made donations and I'm happy with the interest shown. The number of entries I've received today is very encouraging but whether that continues remains to be seen. If the total number of entries is very high (30-50) then I think it might be worth keeping this thread alive in the DFC forum. If it's around a dozen then it might be better in the Football Forum because people generally don't like being exposed to stuff that's not relevant to them. I'll let John decide that. I'm not really bothered either way. Top
