Thanks Steven but I think the right thing to do is to send the programme to the winner. We can always negotiate at the end of the season but my intention is to not go back on any promise as it damages the integrity of the competition.

I'm going to confirm now that the competition will be going ahead. I don't think it would be right to cancel it when people have made donations and I'm happy with the interest shown.

The number of entries I've received today is very encouraging but whether that continues remains to be seen. If the total number of entries is very high (30-50) then I think it might be worth keeping this thread alive in the DFC forum. If it's around a dozen then it might be better in the Football Forum because people generally don't like being exposed to stuff that's not relevant to them. I'll let John decide that. I'm not really bothered either way.
