Played in a midfield every week last year and we were overrun every week. That is why he is not selected-McCann has better eye for a player than Hartley No he's not pish. Great passer of the ball, full of energy and passion. Makes a big difference.

StobbieDee Posted 23 September 2017 Report Share Posted 23 September 2017 I see we won the foul count again....if it was that alone we would be in The Champions League

So what do we know

Bubster Posted 23 September 2017 Report Share Posted 23 September 2017 McGowan is a huge miss when he doesn't play. Looks after the ball really well, constantly harries and fantastic energy. Was speaking to a Dons fan on a training course in Edinburgh on Friday. He hates Ryan Jack with a passion and always thought he was massively overrated - slowed the game down, not creative, sideways/backwards passes etc. Reckons Aberdeen are missing him big time now and it shows... We have a very poor record without McGowan on the park. Huge player for us.

cookie Posted 23 September 2017 Report Share Posted 23 September 2017 I think that NM is still trying to find his best eleven an that is why McGowan has not featured much. The key man in the midfield is Kamara and he needs to find his best partner. At the moment Spence has showed real promise and that is why he is getting the shout but I think that McGowan will feature soon enough. That is just my opinion for what it is worth. Not much probably.

barkblue Posted 23 September 2017 Report Share Posted 23 September 2017 I get that folk don't like players, but the way some take such great joy in verbally kicking them is pretty pathetic. Hoped for a win today, but making sure Killie reagin winless and turning a run of 1 point from 15 into 4 from a possible 6 shows we're moving in the right direction. I still worry that we have some really good players that don't really give much end product (Allan, El Bak, Wolters) but at least we're playing OK and taking points instead of playing well and taking none. Defensively we look to have tightened up a little, while Spence looks a real asset alongside Kamara in the middle, we just need to get one of the bigger lads fit up front.
