Could he no be sold to Bournemouth and loaned back for the rest of the season?

If he`s gonna leave then that would be best solution.
Would love us to get £1.5m but cant see board knocking back £800k - tho hope he says in meantime.

I think we should hold off until the summer and then sell him. Then it gives us time to bring in another defender for the next season.

Absolutely. £1.5m and relegation is a no win situation. Must keep him IMO. Apologies for the relegation comment but if we can't keep a team like ICT out then we are going to struggle in the league.

As good as he is, Jack Hendry has never played a full season of football in his career as of yet and he has been at a few different clubs. It would be in Jack's best interests to complete his first full season here, at Dens Park, rather than move to the EPL or Smeltic wastelands. Could honestly see him being called up to the Scotland squad later in the year for these friendlies.

Let's hope this is the start of us setting a precedent that we expect top dollar for our saleable assets.

Unfortunately, we have shown our hand by stating the price we are asking for - that's the upper limit set now.  I'd have used the basic negotiation tactic - think of the upper limit and then double it.  Maybe we have though, and 750 is our valuation?

Think we should be saying he is not for sale. Why is it sensible to go down the route that has previously helped other clubs to get relegated? we haven't got a free scoring attack so our only hope is a strong defence. we must be mad to be putting any figure on Hendry, IMO.

seeing Bournemouth are reportedly interested now .

If this is true and he is going to go  id sooner see him move down there and hopefully they will be willing to pay a tidy sum and maybe even loan him back to us for the rest of season .

Would be a WIN WIN for all parties !

Apparently they are kinda being put off by the price tag that we have put on Hendry.

What is 'top dollar' though HK?  I don't want to start talking the guy and his value down when the club are (rightly) talking these things up but what would be top dollar for a guy that's really only played half a season?

The thing with coming out with this '£1.5m' is that a lot of folk will buy in to it, so if he goes for less than that the accusations of selling him on the cheap will start.  What's the recent precedent for players in his position and age?  Liam Lindsay went to Barnsley from Partick for a lot less than £1.5m, is 22 years old and was/is a player full of potential.  Hope Partick have a sell on clause in place because he was being rumoured with a move to the EPL just before Xmas.  If JH does go, chances are it will 'Undisclosed Fee' and then the frothing at the mouth will start along with complete guesses on what the transfer fee actually was.
