The Dark Blues are unbeaten at Dens since October having taken five points from St Mirren, Hamilton and Rangers. Livi's only victory on grass this season came back in August against a dire St Mirren side and they look a lot less formidable on the road.

Can the Dee gain some Boxing Day revenge for the heavy defeat at Almondvale?

How the table could look on Wednesday night if results go against us again...

Hamilton 15
St Mirren 15
Dundee 9

We really need to have a good night.

Hopefully our players are massively up for the game and get torn into them from the first minute.

We can start by stopping giving daft freekicks away in areas where they can just log the ball into the box....they ain't a great footballing team but play very well to the strengths they have which is just getting the ball in the air and into oppositions box asap.

Can they beat us again just by playing for free-kicks around the box and hoping we naively dive in and gift them what they want? That will be their gameplan. Be nice if we could be wise to it and avoid falling into their trap.

We need to get something out of this, to be honest I’d take two draws in the next two games and then JM will have a couple of weeks to revamp the squad if he can.

For this game I’d go to simple four four two. Hamilton in goals, back four of a Ralph, ODea, Kusunga, Kerr, midfield of Miller, Kamara, Woods, Curren and a front two of Miller and Kallman. Get stuck in from the start, press high up the park and get the ball wide to Miller and Curren and tell them to take defenders on and get the ball into the box for the front two.
