3.

Would have been a 1 but Celtic were incredibly wasteful.

He did ok apart from failing to strengthen our right hand side when Hayes came on.

Top trolling.

How is it trolling?

Are you saying they never missed good opportunities?

I know (it seems) that we need to have a Dundee player to be the panto villain but I just don't get that its Woods. I've no idea why he was our 'dead ball specialist' but he's put in some good games for us recently. I daresay Davies will be next, another County 'reject' and if he doesn't single handedly save our season in the next couple games he'll be getting it tight no doubt.

Overall I thought he got the formation pretty spot on, yeah against Celtic you need to be a bit lucky and we were (until the 95th mintue ) and I did get the fear when Jesse Curran came on, defence ain't his strong suite but we dug in and the players commitment couldn't be faulted, that's part of the manaager's remit so using the 'star system' a very solid 4 out of 5 shiny gold stars.

If the officials didn't invent an imaginary period of stoppage time then we'd be on here celebrating a clean sheet and a well deserved point against the champions and champions to be.

You considered giving the manager a 1 but apparently he deserves more because we kept Celtic out for for 95 minutes, thanks to his formation and tactics i may add.

They never invented anything. There was 5 substitutions and two injuries to deal with. Stop trying to blame the officials for everything. The fact is, we were in our own half 90% of the game - it was only a matter of time before we conceded. For rest really should have punished us first half alo e and that's just one example of poor finishing.

No, he got a 3 because we lasted that long. As I said, he'd have got a one if Celtic finished the gilt edge chances they missed. They never, he gets a three.

We got nothing. Exactly what we deserved.

Can I ask what you think he should have done differently, you know to get more gold stars on here. ;)

How would you have set up to keep Celtic at bay today?  Would would you have done different from JM  ?  Just curious.

Thought McIntyre & Boyle got it spot on today. I thought defensively that was one of our best displays this season, just need some more composure in the middle of the park to hold onto the ball.

So Celtic couldn't score for 95 minutes with their chances same as us despite having several more? That's somehow McIntyres fault?

We deserved a point.

Can't take your opinion seriously anyway due to your history on McIntyre.

Manager's set up restored a bit of pride today in a game I think you predicted we'd be beat 6-0 in I think it was 😆

Here we go again. "Restored a bit of pride"

Completely outplayed, sat in our own box. 0 points. Proud as f**k, so we are.

Edit : not once have I said Celtic not scoring was McIntyres fault. I said his game plan was working simply because Celtic were wasteful, not because it was a master stroke. Celtic score their chances, the game plan gets shown for what it was - far too respectful. Hopefully I don't have to explain this again, it's very tiresome.

Do you have a skip in your step, proud of Dundee being camped in their half and only losing by one goal?

Were you expecting us to have a go and win today for the first time since 1988 with this bottom two side against the champions?

Thank fk our manager knows a lot more about the game than you and gave us a respectable score today  with his set up against a team you expected to give us 6 😉

Look WW is just pointing out that we got nothing from the game, so it was not a success. The positives seem to be that we were expected to lose, possibly quite heavily and that didn't happen. Chances that Celtic missed might have all been taken if JM had not played a back 5.

We must be in a better place after this result than if we had been thumped 3 or 4 nil. Use the disappointment as motivation for next game. The worry for me is that we think we have found a new dimension to our game and because it was against Celtic we are going to drop our levels against the teams we must beat.

One way to end a losing streak is to not sit in your own box.. I was expecting us to have a go, yes. We need points. Hamilton didn't expect to win at Pittodrie, they never sat back and were rewarded with three points. That's restoring pride. Sitting in and having the keeper make some excellent saves and the opposition make some horrific finishing, restoring pride? Nah, not having it.

The worry for me is folk celebrating this performance. Go out and do that against St Mirren and they'd be absolutely hounded. I'm not having this "it builds confidence" mumbo-jumbo either. It builds nothing, formation and personnel will all change and once again, we're no further forward.

It was 'only 1-0 though'. Yippee.

WW, you have made your point. JM tried the being hard to beat and nick a breakaway goal tactics. They nearly worked. Quite right about the possible change of formation and personnel for the next game, but the mood in the club should be better than if we had been on the end of a heavy defeat and I think that you will agree with that.

We had the best chance of the game, end of first half. You’re very tiresome. Only my opinion of course.
