Although there is currently a poll for the best Dundee winger in the last 25 years I would like to take the opportunity to start the following topic.

Who is the best Dundee winger since 1960.

My suggestions are Gordon Smith, Hugh Robertson and Billy Campbell.

Never saw Gordon Smith in action. Started going to Dens regularly when Billy Campbell was in the team. Still one of my favourite players even now. Hated Jimmy Wilson for taking over from Billy but grew to like him.

Before my time but jimmy murphy got a lot of praise off my old man when he was a young lad at games.. Fast as feckkk winger 😂

'We've got jimmy jimmy murphy on the wing' was the tune he said? Haha

Spooky - something I could have written myself - word for word.

Before my time as well but Jimmy Murphy always gets a mention amongst friends and family.

If asked this question, I'm confident my old man would say Gordon Smith straight away.

Gordon Smith for me.

Another winger we had was Duncan Lambie would played in the first team in the early 1970's.

Andy Penman. Barely old enough to remember him. Shuggy Robertson much the same. Lucky enough to say I saw both though. Then Billy Campbell, Duncan Lambie then Jimmy Willson.  Fine run of great  weengers.

Billy Campbell shows up well in this footage.

Really enjoyed watching this.

Loved this. My three favourite Dundee players of all time are involved in this game. 1 Jocky Scott (sub), 2 Billy Campbell, 3 George McLean. John Arrol was my favourite keeper until Thomson Allan came along.

We went on to reach the final that year, losing 5-3 to Celtic in what was one of the best games I've ever seen.

Good to see Bobby Cox at left back and Bobby Wilson at right back. Met Bobby W a couple of weeks ago at ICT v Dundee Dev Lg game.
