I defended this programme slightly the other week when everyone was having a pop.

I was wrong.

Why the fk are we on after Rangers v Livi a league below not to mention then relegation contenders game at the Dump?

Only in Scottish football would a lower league game be shown before a top flight game in the highlights programme.

Female commentator asks "Was Stewart's goal down to luck?". WTF is she talking about?

To be fair, she went on to say something like "or just sheer skill?"

20 seconds talking about Stewart after minutes of discussing poor old cuddly Partick's lack of luck was their analysis of our game after showing the diddy league game that they weren't interested in for 50 years until Rangers ended up in it.

Joke programme.

Abysmal stuff.

Not to even show the Low and Irvine chances from the first half is a complete joke.

Yeah she said "Was it luck or skill?" Strange thing to say about a brilliant run and curler into the corner.

It was another trademark Greg Stewart finish.. Great goal.

Horror show defending from Thistle though.

Agreed. Mind you our defending wasn't great either. McPake setting up Muirhead for what looked like a certain goal was painful to watch.

You can see why Partick have failed to score in 7 out of 8 games. Their finishing was laughably bad at times.

We were pretty horrific all round in the first half.. Not sure how McPake got injured but he was struggling.

Just said them same to my wife. All about Thistle hard luck but statistics stated 51% - 49% possession for Thistle

But Dee had 1 more shot at goal plus one more on target. Not seeing it as hard luck.

Agreed we have played a lot better but nothing in this game so not understanding our " top football programme" panel,

Although they seem to have had little to judge us on with about 1 or 2 minutes of highlights.

Am sure on Off the Ball they said that they are showing all they are allowed to Contractually. That said showing the Championship before the top league is a disgrace.

More importantly...those in charge of marketing our game are failing miserably and should be sacked for gross incompetence

Thats about the 3rd/4th week on the trot where we have barly been talked about. Not gonna get mentioned next week either no doubt as it will be about celtics performance in europe. Maybe if we pump them next weekend we may get a little mention. Absolute minter of a programme

We seem to never get a proper commentary-only an overview which cuts the highlights to even shorter than normal-really poor cover on a weekly basis and showing The Rangers weekly, especially before a Premier fixture is becoming more than irritating. In contrast,United's fixture between the two lower placed teams got huge cover. Disappointing.

Tbf what they showed of the highlights were all that happened rest was awful viewing. It has always been [email protected] though we barely worth talking about to them

Putting aside the accepted bias towards the "West coast Big Twa Fitba Clubs" is it no' as well  (at least in part)  the general standard of Sportscene falls down way short, because of the overall limited budget, allocated to Scottish BBC programmes, in comparison to our English neighbours ?  Certainly on the football front with the big Pay Outs to English Premier and Championship Clubs this would surely have an effect. I know it's mainly the Big Independent Companies, SKY, BT etc who pay out these obscene amounts for the rights to broadcast.

But the UK BBC has much to answer for, when you see what is the high pay out to general TV presenters, and so called, knowledgable, professional, TV football pundits. But if this huge added income  (compared to the scraps we pick up)  raises the general standard and quality of the English Football on offer on our TV screens, it is inevitable, Scottish Football will suffer.   And the Scottish TV BBC offerings, such as Sportscene, just simply refects this inequality.

(I am no' sure if I am trying to make a political point here, or trying to avoid one.  If it seems political, somebody can complain, and/or, jist delete/ban it)
