Dundee lose to Celtic at Parkhead, thanks to Bain for keeping the scoreline respectful today.

Not sure 6-0 can be described as respectful.

There was a hint of sarcasm with that post, however total respect for Bain because that could have been so much worse (Than it already was).

Wasn't there and only saw the text updates, stats and comments from those who could see it as the game progressed. No disguising it because that is another major black mark against PH. Did he put out a team and set up that played to our strengths? Definitely not. Celtic had 30 shots at goal - which tells it's own story. We do not have the players to sit back against teams like Celtic and get away with it.

Yup 29 shots on goal tell you all you need to know about this game.

To play the same team who should and could have conceded at least three at Partick is a dreadful decision from Hartley. Theres not much point trying to disect that shambles; next week we need Holt, Calder and Loy starting in a straight 4 4 2. Harkins and Ross have been poor since the Inverness game and i don't expect to see either next week.

Shambles

Shambles is not the word I would use. Sack-able is more the language I would use.

I hope the manager says nothing to the media.

"We just didn't get going. We gave them too much space. We sat too deep. It just wasn't our day"

Unless you're going to admit that you and your players failed the fans and the club with that disgraceful performance then save your breath.

Agreed - the last thing I need to read now is that 'the players are hurting after that performance'.

What I would like to know is what his plan was when he sent those players out on to the park at 2.50.  How he set them up and what was the thinking behind it.  If his plan was to sit back and let Celtic have around 30 pops at goal what made him think it was going to work this time, when it plainly didn't at the end of last season.

Finally, does he accept that we could have had a go at Celtic, played a 4-3-3 or whatever and still not got humped 6-0.

Always a fixture we're likely to lose but 6-0 going on 10-0 minimum is an embarrassment of a result.

Despite the good 3 points and clean sheet at Partick, we've been in a bit of a slump performance wise lately.

Worrying. Needing a performance and positive result against Ross County next week.

Hardly.

What is worrying though is Hartleys tactics when we go into away games against trickier opposition this year. At Aberdeen he went with a back 5, tried to keep Aberdeen at bay, then possibly sneak a goal on the counter - we lost 2 0 and never looked like threatening( squad was limited that day though).

Again with a limited squad, however Hartley went into the cup game against Dunfermline with the exactly same formation that hadn't worked up at Aberdeen. We get beat 3 1 and dumped out the cup with no attacking threat atall for the first half.

Today against Celtic once again he sets up his team negatively to cut out Celtics threat, not considering strengths we have to cause them problems. Leaving Loy, Healey and Calder on the bench who could all cause problems for any team in this league. Once again we fail to do anything constructive and get trounced while at it.

When we've played our attacking players together and played on the front foot this year away from home we looked brilliant against Killie and dominated against United (until Thomson went off). Hartley obviously doesn't trust the players to go and do the same against better teams in the league unfortunately.

Just heard Hartley on the radio, took no blame for that shambles, the players were good in training this

week, we had a plan for today, but the players were not capable, of carrying out that plan, what FUCKING

plan.

One up front on his own, yet again, to a centre forward, who's strength is NOT holding the ball up for our

midfield, sitting deep, in our own halve, all the time.

Paul, these same players are ALL your SIGNINGS,

How predictable. So Hartley came up with a grand plan to get a result against Celtic but unfortunately the players didn't follow it. Again. What a load of bollocks.

Worst thing about this result was it was so predictable, and yet we couldn't stop it.

I was happy with a 4-0 defeat, but 6-0 no...it shatters our credibility and that of the Premiership. Absolutely shocking.

I'd be happy if we never played Celtic again. We'll certainly struggle to beat them again. Ever.

I cannot understand why we were once again running about like heidless chickens from the off.

It looked like we were fecking terrified of the sight of the green jerseys, absolutely no organisation.

Does he need help organising the defensive side of the team?

Looks like he does from where I was sitting.
