WLDWLDWL. A draw on Saturday might disappoint some but would be great news for folk with OCD.

Best post since 17:00 on Sunday. :P

Entertaining 5-5 draw will do me.  Defences on top.

Ha ha.. Bad news for those suffering with OCD though - We'll win on Saturday!

As I pointed out on here weeks ago, this is why we finished 6th last season and sit 6th again this season and won't be pushing anywhere near 4th or 5th as some think.

Far too inconsistent and lose as many as we win.

I don't think a draw against 4th placed County would be the worst result in the world after Sunday and would keep us in 6th place guaranteed as St Johnstone and Killie are currently 3 points behind.

What would a win do?

It does not feel like we are going in the right direction at the moment.

We have failed against a poor Pars side in the L.Cup and suffered a terrible thrashing at the hands of Celtic.

I personally do not see any signs that we are about to breakthrough and perform consistently well against the top four sides.

There are too many lazy players in our side IMO and muddled tactics from the Manager.

County are on a good run of results - its not going to be easy.

As an aside - does anyone know roughly what our record is like against them? It feels to me that we don't have a particularly great record against County. No stats to back that up though, just a gut feeling

From memory, last year we lost twice at Dingwall and drew at Dens despite being a man up for 85 mins. Two seasons before that, they beat us twice at Dens and we drew at Dingwall. The year before that when they won the league, they beat us twice and we drew twice. Currently 10 without a win against them with the last victory being a special one with Leighton scoring the keep us up and beat the 25 point deduction.

Thanks mate. As I thought, we don't have a great record against them. Time to get one over that DAB McIntyre though. Is wingnut still up there as well?

From TDB's preview..

Stats Vs Ross County

Dundee have played Ross County 34 times overall.

Dundee Wins: 10

County Wins: 12

Draws Total: 12

Dundee Goals Total: 34

County Goals Total: 33

Of the games that have been played at Dens, it's pretty even so far with 6 wins a piece and 5 draws. The Darkblues of the Dee however have scored more goals, 20 to Ross County's 15.

Pretty even so far at Dens park, and we can expect that this will be a tough game.

That performance v County at Dens last year was horrific stuff.

Hoping we play Calder from the start and go at them

It was a grim result but I didn't think we were that bad. Harris had a decent debut, we dominated the ball and created plenty chances against a County team that was sitting back trying to kill the game.
