Close Season Transfer News

Recommended Posts

Well it is now one week after the end of the SPFL season and we enter the close season of who's in and out with clubs.

I thought we could use this space to highlight the transfer news over the next few months of all the teams in Scotland, whether they be from the mighty Dee or not.

Put your transfer news here :)

Would be surprised, because I would have thought MacKenzie would be aiming for a higher level than St Mirren?

Maybe. Just hard to tell what sort of deal he'd be looking at. Turning 31 this year and if he's had enough of England, I don't think St Mirren are inconceivable. A deal for a couple of years to be a key defender under the manager that gave him his shot in senior football might seem a good proposition for him if interest is slow elsewhere.

Would really need to see him play again to know how good he'd be at this level.

Where have all the years gone, turning 31 already? Yeah he might want to wind down his time with someone who he knows and he would bring a lot of experience there at that level.

Wow, that makes me feel old, if I had to guess I'd have maybe gone 28 at a push. I would imagine the only reason he would end up at St. Mirren is for 'personal reasons', close to family or the like depending if he's made his pile from football already. If he's still looking for a payday then he'll stay down south I would imagine.

CRAIG SLATER heads a list of TEN players who left Kilmarnock yesterday.

It’s believed Mark O’Hara, Mark Connolly, Kallum Higginbotham, Lee Ashcroft, Conrad Balatoni, Kevin McHattie, Dale Carrick, Tope Obadeyi and David Syme were told they could go.

Scotland Under-21 ace Slater later tweeted to say it had been his decision to quit.
