Preview: Dundee V's Ross County
Dundee welcome Ross County to Dens this Saturday knowing a win could potentially see them stave off the threat of a potential play-off come the end of the season.
The Highlanders will of course, be heading down South full of confidence following a run of five games without defeat which include three wins, one against Dundee.
Dundee head into this game without any suspension or injury worries. The only notable absentees are long-term injuries James McPake and Julen Etxabeguren.
Ross County will be missing Jay McEveley, Paul Quinn, Tony Dingwall and Chris Burke while midfielder Ian McShane could make his first appearance since December.
County will be welcoming back Alex Schalk and Liam Boyce after they had served their suspensions.
Current Head to Head League Record
Played: 36 Won: 11 Drawn: 13 Lost: 12 GF: 42 GA: 41
Despite County having the upper hand in recent times, both teams are actually quite close with regards to their Head to Head record.
In the Dee’s favour is the fact we are undefeated at home to County in our last four matches which goes all the way back to 2013. That’s over four years which is a stat that often gets overlooked due to our less than sterling away form when on their patch.
Match Facts
Dundee will be looking for their third win in a row, something that they haven’t achieved since November 2014. These wins came against Motherwell, Hamilton and Kilmarnock.
This will be the eighteenth meeting between the clubs at Dens. Dundee have come out on top six times, County five while the other seven have saw honours finish even.
If we avoid defeat, we will have gone five games unbeaten in the League at Dens vs County. This will be a new record.
Despite showing better form against Ross County in the past year, The Highlanders have only lost two of their last 12 top-flight meetings against us.
