Dundee’s main club sponsor McEwan Fraser Legal has launched its latest big supporter competition, #HomeAlone.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, we can’t make the match, and let’s face it, when it is part of your life and go every week, that’s a pretty horrible feeling.

For that reason McEwan Fraser Legal looking for one Dee supporter who won’t make the match against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on 27 January (7.45pm) when Paul Hartley’s men travel up the A90.

Nominations for supporters, either from themselves, friends or family are being sought with a VERY special prize being offered, which is almost as good as being at the game itself.

The supporter whose story inspires (or makes the judges smile) will be able to watch the game at home on TV with two very special visitors, Hall of Fame legend Bobby Glennie and Brian Scrimgeour.

The Dark Blues legend will even bring around the beer and pizza to make it a night to remember!

You’ll be able to welcome some friends or family around, as Bobby and Brian ensure that whatever else happens, when watching Dundee you’re not #HomeAlone.

To enter yourself or a friend or family member and to get full details visit www.mcewanfraserlegal.co.uk/football/HomeAlone now.

Entries close Wednesday 11 January at 5pm. Full T&Cs apply. Over 18s only.

After the club and main club sponsors McEwan Fraser Legal teamed up to host the Biggest Home Game event to coincide with the launch of the new Dundee away kit, the first one-hundred children who purchased the full junior kit were awarded a golden ticket and the opportunity to take on the Dundee first team.

What this resulted in was many young fans being able to live the dream of playing on the Dens Park pitch and running out deserved winners with a 5-2 victory.

Spurred on by hundreds of parents watching from the South Enclosure, the likes of Darren O’Dea, Paul McGowen and new boy Scott Allan were unable to stop the juggernaut of players in the red and black.

Not only will the young heroes be proud of the victory, they can go back and tell all their friends that they just inflicted Dundee’s first defeat of pre-season!

“It was the senior guys’ first defeat of the pre-season but I’m hoping they’ll learn from it,” declared Neil McCann.

“But I’m just delighted for my young team. I set them out to attack as a 99. I went for a 33-33-33 formation, and I think it worked a treat.

“We attacked in numbers and defended in numbers. You can’t ask any more than that,” joked the manager.

There’s no doubting that since taking over as the main sponsors of Dundee, McEwan Fraser Legal have done a fantastic job advertising the Dundee name.

From free tickets, chances to win hospitality to the Biggest Home Game, they have really engaged with the supporters over social media.

It’s a rarity to see this from a sponsor and it should be applauded the amount of work they put in to go the extra mile with the Dundee supporters.

Spokesperson for McEwan Fraser Legal said: "It was undoubtedly Dundee's biggest home game, and we are delighted that everyone had such a brilliant day.
"The kids can be proud of their performance, and everyone at McEwan Fraser Legal is delighted we were able to set up this opportunity.
"We reckon the Neil McCann will have had his eye on one or two starlets too, so maybe there's a Dens Park star of the future who's just made their first steps into the big time!"

Long may we see opportunities like yesterday occur more often.

All of us at The Dark Blues website and Up Wi’ The Bonnets look forward to helping out in the future, even if it’s just a retweet here and there.

McEwan Fraser Legal has today launched a brilliant competition for the kids – the chance to design the cover of the official Dundee Matchday Programme, The Dee!
In a break from “tradition”, McEwan Fraser Legal – the club’s proud main sponsor – has teamed up with the Dark Blues to give one lucky under 16 the opportunity of a lifetime.
We’re looking for a picture of young supporters’ favourite current Dundee player!
The winning artwork will be turned into the cover for the club’s home game against Partick Thistle on 26 October.
Our star artist will win a giant hard back version – presented by the player they illustrated – of the cover to keep, and a copy of the Programme signed by the Dee’s first team squad.
It’s really easy to enter – simply download the form below, get your kids to pick out and draw their favourite player and then email it back to us (preferred) or pop it into reception at Dens Park.
Here’s how your kids can design the cover for The Dee:
Open to anyone under the age of 16 we’re looking for an illustration or painting of their favourite current Dundee player (one player only)
Entries – which must be original pieces of work – may use pen, coloured pencils or paint
All entries should be submitted using the form above
Submissions are preferred via email to [email protected] (please scan the entry – highest possible quality!)
Alternatively drop in your entry into the Main Reception at Dens Park
      All entries should include:
The entering child’s full name, address and parent name, address (if different) and telephone contact details
A brief note to explain who the child has illustrated and why
The deadline to receive entries is Friday 30 September at 4pm – entries received after this time will not be accepted.
The competition will be judged by McEwan Fraser Legal and Dundee FC
By entering into the competition parents/carers agree that in the event of winning they and their child will be available to participate in a photo-opportunity with promotion across media, social media and club channels
