Dundee have signed Conor Hazard on loan from Celtic as Jack Hamilton recovers from appendicitis.
The Northern Ireland International has joined Dundee on an emergency loan. The 21-year-old goes straight into the squad which will face Ayr United on Friday night. He will wear the number 20.
Jack Hamilton has been ruled out after he had undergone surgery underwent surgery to have his appendix removed this week, this would leave James McPake with youngsters Calum Ferrie and Harrison Sharp on stand-by.
Manager James McPake said: “It’s very frustrating for Jack and the team. He has been fantastic this season and is a big player in our dressing room.”
“We have had to act quickly and I’m delighted that we have been able to get someone of Conor’s quality in.”
“He is a player who has played in this league over the past two seasons and also has experience of playing at international level.”
Conor Hazard has previously had spells with Falkirk and Partick Thistle in the Championship.
