  • Dundee Boss Paul Hartley Expects Backlash From Inverness

Paul Hartley is looking for his Dundee side to counter an expected Inverness backlash on Saturday.

Caley boss Richie Foran questioned his players' bottle and mentality after the 3-0 defeat at Hamilton on Tuesday night kept them rooted to the bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership.

The Dark Blues have their own worries, however, as they sit in 10th place licking their wounds after a 3-0 defeat to Aberdeen at Pittodrie last Friday night.

Dundee will travel to the Highlands five points ahead of Inverness, two points behind sixth-place Motherwell.

Hartley said: "It is vital we get the three points and I am sure Richie will be saying the same after a disappointing result the other night. "We expect a backlash from them, they will bounce back.

We have to bounce back from Aberdeen last week. "We have 11 games before the split. It is in our hands where we want to be so it us up to us to get points now.

"It might not be pretty in terms of performances but it is all about getting as many points as we can before the split. Every point is going to be vital."

Hartley hopes his two new boys will help Dundee's cause in the run-in.

Former Motherwell attacker Henrik Ojamaa, 25, joined on loan from Go Ahead Eagles on transfer deadline day, while 23-year-old midfielder Marc Klok, who had a spell at Ross County, was recruited after being released by Oldham.

Hartley said: "We need a big reaction from our group and hopefully adding the two lads will give us a boost in that department.

"I think it was important that we added to the squad. "Bringing Henrik in was a real important one for us in terms of another body up front but he has got good quality about him.

"He is still only 25 but he knows the league pretty well, he had a couple of spells at Motherwell and has done well.

"Marc, also, has really impressed me, he has been in the league before with Ross County, he has played in England, so they are two young players with good experience.

"It was important as we were low in numbers last week just because of suspension and a couple of injuries."

Firstly I didnae realise the two recent DFC signings were of that age ... For some reason, I thought they were older Should it be decided they will play, I've got the feeling, they will be desperate to prove what they can do. They could turn out to be the key.

But the focus will also be on the two managers. So let's hope Ph has got all his players really primed for this game, and go out there showing they mean business.

DFC players & manager are bound to be feeling nervous  for this game (ken eh am)

What a test this is going to be for the Dark Blues.  C'mon the Dees

Can PH motivate the team-don't think he has managed it in any big game before.

Hamilton last year -the top 6 decider is very like this game.

I hope he can but I am not convinced.

Win this and ICT need 3 more wins than we can achieve to get above us-with them having only 14 games to go e.g if we win tomorrow and another 3 wins they need to win 6 out of 14 to get above us-I don't think they could do that.

Almost a relegation decider for us I would say.
