Dundee have confirmed that their ground will be renamed The Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park for the next two seasons.

The sponsorship deal will bring in a six-figure sum for the club from Kilmac who are longstanding  supporters of Dundee, having previously been sponsors of the club.

Interestingly, Richard Kilcullen of Kilmac spoke of the importance that Dens Park should be in the stadiums name in ‘what will be the last years as the home of Dundee Football Club.’

A delighted John Nelms told the official Dundee website: “We are always looking for new unique revenue streams and this is a fantastic opportunity for the club and it makes it even better that it is with Richard and Kilmac who are and have been lifelong supporters of the club.”

Richard Kilcullen of Kilmac was equally ecstatic about the deal.

“It’s an honour to sponsor the stadium. We really feel it takes our already great relationship with the club to another level,” said Richard.

“We realise the importance to the fans to keep Dens Park in the name in what will be the last few years as the home of Dundee Football Club.”

Dens Park has been the home of Dundee since 1899 when they moved from Carolina Port. The club hope to move into a new stadium at Camperdown for the 2020/21 season.
