    Scott wright was one of the eleven players to have been brought in by Jim McIntyre in the january transfer window and the on-loan aberdeen striker insists every player has only one thought in their minds and that is to to keep Dundee in the premiership.

    From the close of the transfer window on Thursday night to Dundee’s match with Hamilton, some of the players only had Friday to get to know their team mates and become accustomed to the way their fellow pros way of playing on the football field.

    There was five players making their debut for Dundee and one of those, Scott Wright, fired Dundee into the lead with 25 minutes to go. Then in the first minute of added time, Hamilton would snatch a precious point and stop the Dark Blues from leapfrogging them out of the bottom two.

    Striker Scott Wright spoke to The Courier about despite losing a late goal to rob Dundee of the victory on Saturday, the players know they can build on that result in our up and coming fixtures.

    “Friday was my first day and I think it was the same for a few others,” he said.

    “It takes time to work out everybody’s personalities and how they play on the pitch. You could probably see that in the first 20 minutes or so.

    “We can work on that as a unit. We’ve got plenty of time to gel. The good thing is that all the new players don’t have any baggage from the first half of the season.

    “The manager wants us to prove a point and make a name for ourselves at Dundee. We’ve all got the same objective – keep Dundee in the league.

    “Coming into the changing room after the game it did feel like a defeat. But we can’t be too down about it because we’ve got another game on Wednesday. They’re coming thick and fast.

    “There is already talk about what we did that was good in the game, as well as where we went wrong.

    “There is definitely something to build on.”
