    Holt Sticks the Boot In

Id heard reason Bain and Holt fell out of favour with McCann is because Neil Lennon came to McCann to to tell him that both players were involved in handing the Dundee team sheet over to a Hibs player (who was their friend) before a match. If this is true I'd have done the same thing as McCann and froze them out!

    Team Going Forward

Right now all players are liabilities with the results we are getting

Im gonna go with this. if McCann wants to continue playing from the back his best bet would be a almost like a 4-2-4. . Kallman Miller Mendy Deacon -. Kamara Ngwatala Miller Innis Kusunga Kerr . Parish Use Mendy and Deacon as wingers/inside forwards Or a 4-1-2-1-2 . Mendy Kallman . Miller Nabi Deacon . Kamara Miller Innis Kusunga Kerr . Parish

Can agree with most of this but your overuse of commas is hurting my head.

I can understand the philosophy behind the style of football McCann is trying to play. Scottish football has the stigma attached to it that it's direct and at times the old "punt it up the park". World football has evolved over the years whereas Scottish football hasn't which is evident in the grass roots systems that aren't working. I can understand that McCann is trying to play a style that encourages build up play from the back, possession football unfortunately for him Dundee aren't the team to be his guinea pig for this style. We struggled at the end of last season and we clearly don't have a core team of players that we can actually call our starting line up. I think McCann needs to give up on his philosophy for now and actually look at getting a regular 11 names that are a guaranteed to be on the team sheet each week. Once he has that in place I think that's the time to look at trying new tactics. Don't try to build a squad and tactical philosophy at the same time we need some team cohesion first!!
  7. at least this way he won't get 45% of any transfer fee we would have received for him.
  8. id go with a 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 (3-5-2) play Kenny Miller in the supporting role behind Mendy and Kallman as a shadow striker?
  9. looks like the Evening Telegraph got it right 13hrs ago saying our transfer business was done!
  10. Have heard Caulker is apparently in Turkey just now maybe a medical?
