Thank very much interesting stuff and you are right it is sad, are there ever talks of admitting defeat and going back to the two club set up? it is not that inplausible , after winning the cup and doing so well for a couple of years does't unite the town then it's never going to happen is it. On the finances that is something else that really struck me, the the wage bill for Old firm is around 20m i think, lower EPL standard, the Edinburgh pair lower Championship and after that it is about 1m which is relegation League 2/Conference, It is sad because it's not like the other towns are desolated it comes back to the glory hunter thing people like the ready made thing whereas if the people came through the gates and to use the cringy term become the 12th man lol, it actually does work and teams can become greter than the sum of their parts, and like any good show, you need multiple characters and to keep things unpredictable and interesting, it seems wasted potential because although people knock Scottish football the players do have a distinct style and attributes that could be better showcased

Another side question, Whats the deal with Inverness CT? They landed on my radar as well as i like that they are really remote and Invereness looks really picturesque, but looking deeper it seems like they have no fans and you can hear a pin drop in stadium

We will have to disagree there then, Obviously you are going to have a preference for Roma if they broke your rivals heart, It's easy to see why Roma are more popular they have Rome in their name and all the legendary Romans seem to play for them, plus Lazio have the Fascist thing But from what i read Roma was the result of a merger and they preyed on all the immigrants who moved to Rome whearas the true authentic Romans see Lazio as the true original Roman team, Another side question, are there a lot of people from Dundee who choose to support the old firm?

Exellent stuff, Can't believe the two clubs almost merged surely nobody would have stood for that, i can't think of a time it's ever worked, Roma maybe but Lazio are the cooler club. I knew about the title in 61 one general question maybe for old timers, obviously scottish teams had quite a bit of success during 70's and 80's was their much difference between top 4 In Scotland and in prem and was it considered a step down to move up north? Rovers are a terrible pick on FM, I don't think anyone has researched the team the players are all league 2 quality and you can only have like 2 coaches and no under 20 coaches so it's a difficult challenge but i think we do have a lovely kit Bristol is maybe a sleeping giant of a football city, I'm top with Dundee btw and signed Kyle Benedictus for 80k remember him? he's not bad actually and even got a International call up One thing i was wondering was has there been any effort to sign Charlie Adam? he has maybe a couple of good years left and he is at Reading, an absolute nothing club who will end up mid table, I never understand why they don't go home and be adored like a Shearer while they still have something to give and play where it at least means something, yes the wages would be a lot less but he is never going to be skint he will have a media job or can be a coach or manager he is set up for life so why not go back, one player like him who is too good for the division can get you up on his own and after that who knows, better players would want to come to play with him and before you know you have decent team again Holloway did it for us and we nearly went up bottled at the death but it was the most exiting season in my lifetime

Yeah it is weird everyone down here wonders that but something has never quite added up, for Rovers they seem to find a gem who scores 30 goals a season (Ricky Lambert, Jason Roberts Nathan Ellington) sell them for a Mill then we never seem to see any of the money, we have a Stadium made up of second hand stands which had never felt like a home and there has never been an ounce of ambition, we just plod along in league 1 never threatening to go up. but we have really decent fans one of the best in the division so it is really strange As for City they are the posers they are like the Labour voters who start to do well for themselves and switch to Tories, no loyalty

I should have left the FM thing out that was sad but i just get attracted to certain clubs, Rangers Celtic the bores who win it every year and rob your players, then next tier Hearts Hibs, Don't like capital clubs or Capital people, then the rest are kind of spread near and around Glasgow like poor parasites, then You get a Dundee just up and away from all the manic sh*t but not isolated completely and a decent city in it's own right, bit of a Newcastle in that they always seem in turmoil but one day if they get their sh*t together they could possibly challenge, am i way off?

Hello again everyone, i am sorry if it seemed like i was taking the piss i can assure you i am not, let me be more clear. i genuinely am interested in different football cultures as i think like most people have started to realize the prem for all the promotion and money it lacks soul and the Clubs are just vessels for bussines rather than community enterprises, personally if i could make just one change in a perfect world an Athletic Bilbao type philosophy would be enforced with maybe a few wild cards to then force clubs to produce their own players and we could see which town/city are truly the best and the people of the town could feel more apart of it rather than bystanders watched rich pricks who don't really give a f**k. Now with regards to the class thing i am really sorry if i offended you are right i am a little naive i am judging purely by 2 crossbar challenge video's where Dundee United's training gorund was really neat with trees all surrounding it in spring time and Dundee at their old stadium on a cold blustery day. Also i assume that one of the clubs out of the two is the plastic pretentious one no matter the city even in Seville,Sheffield or Bueno's aries you have the elitists team and i guess i wrongly assumed them, i wasn't saying the people were backward or rugged just the club was more the underdog team Hope clears up
  9. Hello all i am a wee bit sad as i am a hardcore football manager player and real life gambler and i take it very seriously, certain teams catch my eye and when i decide to take over a club i really go full anorak and like to learn about the clubs and their quirks ect. I always liked Dundee's kit and Craig Wighton was a player i rated who played and supported you so i for couple of months i have been following the results and sticking them into my accumilators, which so far has not paid off all. A few questions if i may, first the feeling i have when looking at club and your neighbours is that they seem the more poncy side, better facillities, fancy dan players more middle class supporters while Dundee seem more rugged and working class, am i wrong? Second and this relates to Fm, i like to builld squads with players either from city or even better support the club, Dundee United have by far the better prospects im affraid it has to be said, and most hail from dundee, but are any of them secret Dee fans to anyones knowledge? Thirdly where would you rank your Fans in terms of passion and atmosphere compared to other teams? Can't think of anything else for now but may do later, thanks very much hope you go up this season but the current manager seems useless
