  1. Is it really unfair, JN had the power for 72 hours, he had the casting vote to actually instigate meaningful change and we all thought because of the official statements he would have voted No . The resolution was passed which as Allan Maitland of Hamilton said reconstruction talks were already part of it . Since then we’ve Livingston trying to push forward compensation for the teams adversely affected by an incomplete season. So I’m not really sure what JN actually achieved by doing the U turn , it adversely hurt our Club re play offs and a chance of promotion and also the fin
  2. John Nelms as far as we know negotiated absolutely nothing, Reconstruction was already on the table as we’ve already heard , no fairness for the relegated clubs during an incomplete season . No compensation for play off clubs , no compensation for relegated clubs . Absolutely clueless and you’re right it was a missed opportunity to change things in the SPFL for the better .
  3. The Raith Chairman was indeed vociferous, could be because they are 1.5 million in debt .
  4. Scary thing is for me , that the reconstruction talks were already on the table anyway .
  5. Going to defend him slightly! , looks like he’s been hoodwinked and manipulated slightly by Doncaster and Co , it’s now been known the prize money could have been advanced as was proven with Partick and Motherwell getting advances in 2017.
  6. Listening to Sportsound today , they interviewed Alan Maitland of Hamilton who said a conversation about reconstruction was already on the table as part of the Yes/No resolution which begs the question why did JN actually change his vote ?
  7. It’s not guesswork or opinion, it’s fact if the prize money is going to be changed there has got be a resolution for it , maybe that will happen but I doubt it . Check for yourself, you’ll get the Articles of Associations for the SPFL online I’m away to sit it the sun ☀️
  8. No mole , but all the Clubs would have to agree re compensation and then you go back to the ridiculous 11 - 1 voting system in the Premiership, the money has obviously got to come from somewhere. Don’t think that’s going to happen as they would be cutting their prize money, back to self interest again.
  9. He changed his vote on a maybe or a conversation about reconstruction, he basically jumped into bed with the others . If he keeps with the moral high ground in his first 2 Statements, he comes away with a lot of credit and he also instigates change because the SPFL ‘s resolution would have been defeated.
  10. Fair enough but why on earth did JN follow the Clubs mentioned Hibs and Aberdeen and vote Yes , if the resolution had been defeated there would have had to be a change of some sort .
  11. There will be nothing to come out , JN was elevated to a powerful figure for all of 72 hours because of the deciding vote but the reality is with clubs at our level we’ve not really got a great deal of influence and when you saw the working group for reconstruction you could see it was a non starter.

  13. Seriously, Nelms took the moral high ground in his first 2 Statements about how other teams were going to be affected. Why the silence now ?
  14. If you read John Nelms first 2 Statements which actually were very good , he wrote he didn’t want to see teams worse off financially, he couldn’t justify teams getting relegated without the full season played. If he has managed to sort that out , then for god’s sake issue a statement and be the knight in shining armour and take the plaudits. It didn’t happen
