  3. Dundee FC are delighted to announce that manager Paul Hartley has signed a new three year deal with the club. Paul has been with us for just over a year and the club has enjoyed enormous success during his time in charge. During his first few months at the helm Paul guided the team to the SPFL Championship title and just last weekend the club clinched a top six place in the SPFL Premiership; our first top half finish in the top flight in 12 years. Paul’s hard work is a key reason we sit where we do today and we look forward to many more years of success under his guidance. We are already building for the future and planning for next season and beyond is well underway. The Board of Directors and Paul have a shared vision of where we want Dundee FC to be and the entire football club is delighted that Paul has put pen to paper on this extended deal.
  4. Dundee FC are delighted to announce that Daryll Meggatt has signed a pre-contract agreement with the club. Defender Daryll is a player well known to manager Paul Hartley after spending 18 months with him at Alloa. He started his career with Queen’s Park and played over 60 times for them between 2010 and 2012. Paul brought him to Alloa in the summer of 2012 and Daryll played a major role as they secured promotion to then stayed in the SPFL Championship. He has again been a big player for Alloa in the Championship this season, playing 38 times so far in this campaign. Daryll will join up at Dens for pre-season training in the summer when he will sign a two year deal.
  5. Dundee FC can confirm midfielder Paul McGowan has been handed a Liberty Restriction Order in court this morning. The club does not condone the behaviour which has led to this and wouldn’t from any member of our staff. We fully respect the decision made by the court and Dundee FC will be standing by the player. Paul is an integral part of the club and we will be working alongside the PFA with him as he bids to positively resolve his off the field issues. With the support of the manager, his team-mates and club staff, we hope Paul will be able to move forward and be part of another successful season next year at Dens Park. The club will be making no further comment on the matter.

Keith Haggart has joined the Club and brings with him extensive experience of Scottish Football, having formerly worked as Commercial Manager at Dundee United FC during a 9 year stint at Tannadice. With a career in retail management preceding this, he brings a sales knowledge which the Club believes will be very beneficial to the commercial operation. Keith said “I’m delighted and privileged to be joining the team at Dundee FC, and I’m really looking forward to helping build on all the hard work which has already gone in to the Club commercially. There’s a solid foundation in place, and we’re all hopeful that we can continue to improve the Club’s position.†For any enquiries Keith can be reached at - [email protected] Discuss Here
  8. “In all this wide world there's but one team for me, it’s the bold boys who wear the dark blue of Dundee.†Last season we challenged you to support the team and break the 4000 sales barrier for season tickets. You delivered - and backed by this, so did Paul and the boys with the club’s first top six finish in 12 years. It’s been an incredible season so far, and as far as we are concerned this is only the beginning. You have been fantastic this season, traveling all over the country to roar the team on. Time and time again the players have commented in private and public that this support gives them that extra little bit to carry the points over the line. It has been a team effort in every sense. The staff, players, directors and supporters together have achieved this goal and we want you join us again as part of the next step. An unbeaten home run from the turn of the year through to being confirmed in the top six played a huge part in our position today. Those that were there won’t ever forget moments such as the emphatic display against Motherwell or Paul McGowan’s late minute lung busting run to turn home the winner in the final minute against Partick Thistle. Greg Stewart’s derby opener followed by James McPake’s header in an electric atmosphere, topped off by Paul Heffernan sealing the win against our neighbours. “Beyond their wildest dreams†screamed Sky commentator Ian Crocker as ‘Heff’ turned the ball into the net. Together let’s turn those dreams into reality. Together as one we can continue our progression forward and upwards. #thedee #oneteamforme Season tickets for the 2015/16 season go on sale on Tuesday the 14th of April at 10am. 9. Following a request on Friday, club officials met with the licensing authority today to submit proposals for the safe operation of the South Enclosure for the forthcoming Celtic match. When asked for a meeting last week it was clear to the Club that a prohibition order for the South Enclosure was to be proposed. The club has since then looked at a variety of temporary solutions to ensure the safe operation of this area for the Celtic match. These proposals were presented to the licensing authority today and agreement has been reached which will allow the South Enclosure to open, albeit on a restricted basis. This compromise agreement means that the club will have to suspend ticket sales for this area of the stadium and entry will be restricted to season ticket holders only. Season ticket holders must bring their season book with them to gain entry to the stand. This will be enforced without exception. The east most section of the stand (Rows 1-15) will also be closed and barriers installed to prevent access to these seats and the area beyond. This solution comes at a considerable financial cost to the club and a more permanent solution will be installed in the summer at even greater cost. We would ask all supporters who have a season ticket for a seat in 1 – 15 (all rows) to find a seat elsewhere within the Stand on this occasion or if preferred, contact the ticket office who will be happy to accommodate you elsewhere in the Stadium. The Club would also ask any supporters who have purchased a ticket for the South Enclosure for the Celtic match to contact the ticket office as soon as possible in order that a ticket for an alternative stand can be issued as a replacement. Supporter safety is and always will be the Club’s number one priority. We would ask all fans coming to Dens Park to consider their actions and the consequences that these may bring for themselves and others. Supporter behaviour as seen on Wednesday night could result in further sanctions against the Club by the Football Authorities but more importantly could result in serious injury or worse to fellow supporters and staff. The operation of the South Enclosure for the Celtic match will thereafter be subject to full scrutiny and review and decisions regarding its future operation will be made and this will undoubtedly require major financial investment by the Club to achieve a safer environment for everyone. 11. After defeat at St. Johnstone on Saturday, we were left to wait until Sunday afternoon to see if our top six fate could finally be sealed. Kilmarnock still had an outside chance of catching up but after defeat to Aberdeen, our top six position was secured. Manager Paul Hartley was a pundit live on BT Sport during the match and replied to questions after the match by saying, "Great achievement by the players, really proud of them." The incredible season so far for a team just promoted has seen Dundee seal a top six place for only the third time since the split came into the Scottish game in 2000/01.
