  1. Some of you of the older persuasion will love this video, nearly 5 minutes of old footage and interviews about the 1962 side! The words sleeping giant come to mind, but I think those days are long gone. However, we can live in hope!
  2. As the rain poured down outside Dens Park, Dundee's greatest ever player made his final journey passed the ground where he delighted fans with his scoring exploits during our golden era. Alan Gilzean is nicknamed ‘The King of White Hart Lane’ by the Tottenham support but in the special programme printed in his honour for this Sundays League Cup tie against Dunfermline, he is described as ‘The King of Dens Park’ which I’m sure everyone will agree upon. As the hearse drove passed Dens, fans, officials and players stood in silence. Then in a in a moment to show our appreciation to the man who helped deliver our first and only league title and who also holds so many records at the club, a round of applause broke out among the young and old. It was a sad but fitting moment for everyone in attendance. He was a huge part in our greatest ever team who became the kings of Scotland and took Europe by storm by reaching the European Cup Semi-Final but he will remain much more than that to the supporters. A League title winner in '62, record top goalscorer, top European goalscorer, most goals in one season, most goals in a single match and most hat-tricks. His legacy will live on forever at Dundee.
