  4. The Daily Rangers is saying that he is attracting cubs both north and south of the border. They are saying that the club have put contract talks off until we know which league we will be in next season. Some Premiership clubs and a club from the English Division one are apparently interested in signing him. Would love to see Cammy stay, as he always gives you 100% on/off the pitch, and the fact he can play in many positions has helped us over the last few seasons. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cammy-kerr-handed-dundee-transfer-29391491 Dundee star Cammy Kerr is attracting interest from England and the Scottish Premiership ahead of a potential summer move. The long-serving Dens Park defender is out-of-contract in the summer and faces a big call over his next move, after Championship title-chasers Dundee have put all contract talks on hold until they know what league they are going to be in next season. That has alerted a Scottish top-flight club and interest from a League One side in England with the transfer window rapidly approaching.

  6. Been thinking about this. Whilst I think that Cammy's a decent enough player, a loyal and committed club servant, I'm wondering whether (sometimes) he creates an issue for managers. He's a player who'll give 100% wherever he's asked to play and often through injury too. His loyalty and commitment and desire to carry out the managers instructions means he plays more often than not but at the expense of other players imo. Take this season for example where he's played l/back at the expense of our natural l/back, who's been on the bench or moved into midfield. He's played r/back and then arguably a better r/back in French has moved to c/half or yesterday into midfield. McGhee, who most see as a defender has moved into midfield. Cammy has also been deployed as a third c/half when we've had more natural options available. Looking at all that I think that managers probably see that we need better options, they sign arguably better options then end up with all the players they want on the park for the same positions. Cammy's a decent r/back but maybe not our best, he's a stand-in l/back and is capable of providing cover at c/back on the right of a 3. I'd hate to see him go but during his time we always seem to have an imbalance to the squad and maybe not enough trust in him to go a whole season without having other options. For most games, prior to French's unfortunate injury, the manager is trying to shoehorn his 6 first picks in Kerr, Marshall, Sweeney, Ashcroft, French and McGhee into the side. If we pick these 6 then we then struggle to get 2 up front and Rudden into his preferred position and where he can make the most contribution. Bit of a conundrum not just for Bowyer but for previous manager's too.
