  1. The mighty Dee face Dunfermline this weekend in a SPFL Championship fixture. The last time we met Dunfermline, was early this year on the 24th of Jan at East End Park. The Dee lost 2 - 0 courtesy of Ryan Dow and Kevin Nesbit goals. Dow opened the scoring in the 28th minute and Nesbit made it 2 on the 40th minute. Last year on the 14th of December, the Dark Blues beat Dunfermline 4 - 3 at Dens Park. Daniel Devine scored an OG in the 15th minute, a minute later Dunfermline equalised through Ryan Dow as the Dundee team were still celebrating the opening goal. Dundee made it 3 -1 with goals coming from Kane Hemmings and Paul McGowan. Dundee started the second half with a goal from Danny Johnson to make it 4-1. While Dundee looked to be sailing home, the game turned after Greg Keltie was sent off for a foul on Byrne then Kerr. Clancy decide that both warranted a yellow followed by a red card. Dundee decided they wanted to make the game harder for themselves as Dunferline scored 2 goals within 3 minutes to make if 4-3. Kevin Nesbit scored on the 69th minute and Lewis Martin on the 72nd minute. Game highlights below!
  2. This weekend we are back at Easter road for the Scottish League Cup second round against Hibs. Our last game against Hibs, as you all know, because a 10 minute nightmare where we let in 3 goals after pulling a goal back. Hibs opened the score in the 10th minute when Mallan fired a long range shot past a Helpless Hamilton. It wasn't until the 71st minute when The Dark Blues equalised after some nice football. McGowan found Elliot with a superb little chip, who then chested the ball down and calmly slipped the ball past Barnes to make it 1 - 1. However, in Dundee fashion the scoreline didn't last long. Dundee fell apart over a 5 minute period with some poor defending, and gifted Hibs a further 3 goals to take the match out of sight. Nesbit scored after what seemed an Elliot OG in the 76th minute, Gullan made it three on the 80th minute, and Hallberg finished the rout 2 minutes later to make it 4 - 1. To be honest, I am not looking forward to this game and if we play the way we did this last weekend, there is a good chance that Hibs will emulate their last scoreline against us. Thoughts on this game?
  3. Last game of the month before we get into the silly season of games all over the month. The last three games between these sides have been decided by a goal or a draw, and the way we are playing at the moment I don't see this game as a high scoring fixture. We tanked last weekend and I hope that we show more intent with a lot more shots on target (as 1 shot on goal is dismal to say the least). What's your score prediction for this game: 2 - 1 the Dee, as long as we don't play crab football!
  4. It's a massive game next weekend for the club and the manager. What are your thoughts?
  5. My brother in law from Australia will be in Dundee and fancies a return to Dens (his previous match was with me v Celtic on Boxing Day a few years ago) for the Killie match. This time he may be on his own, what boozer should he visit for a pre match pint with the best atmosphere / experience?
