I wouldn't worry about additional income from Dens as there will be plenty of that when our owners start building houses and flats on it.

Gasp!!!!

Are you suggesting that part of the overall plan might involve buying the current property in order to facilitate an easier way out of the rental agreement or a more comfortable transition for all parties involved?

The Licensing Committee are far more important that the Planning Committee as they are the ones who demanded that the alternations be immediately made to the South Enclosure (correct name) otherwise it would have been closed.

Quite right.

Chomp: remember mr Nelms was talking about the upcoming Hamilton game and family fun in April. Maybe Islay isn't allowed to say...

As the boy said on Room 101 the other night, I dread it when anyone describes anything as 'fun'.

Seems like a good idea, if you have the financial resources.

He is maybe right in what he says about the South Stand (it's correct name) but the licensing committee will not be the people that say yes or no to whether or not FPS can stick a stadium on the site or whether the design they propose is acceptable. They will get involved when it's built and will decide whether it can be licensed for the various events being proposed for it.

So no then? Neither of the people you mention are involved in the planning department? Is this what you're saying? Why bring these names into this if they are not involved?

Dundee City Council must really be looking forward to your return to the city. Pretty certain Argyll And Bute Council will be.

We certainly have more than our fair share of incompetent and useless councillors in Argyll & Bute. Councillor David Kinniburgh who is head of the Planning committee lives in Dumbarton and only qualifies as an Argyll & Bute Councillor because he is on the payroll of a garage in Helensburgh where his fellow councillor Gary Mulveny is a director.

Uh huh and nothing to do with the current discussion. Hard to believe at times but the world doesn't revolve round one wee island.
