I'll be honest, I don't fully understand/agree with this deal.

Only way I can see it as a plus for us is if Hibs are paying us a small amount as well as Harris which will enable us to sign another player on top of this. Perhaps even just paying Boyle's wages and allowing us to have Harris on loan for nothing would make sense.

I watched Hartleys reaction last week after Boyles 'cross' he immediately called over Roberts, just get the impression hes maybe lost patience with him?

Had hoped he might have scored a few for Hibs. Wikipedia says one goal! But it was in that great fightback against Falkirk in the 4-3 semi-final win. He scored the first, set up the second. Made his debut against us, a 3-0 doing at Easter Road.

Don't recall Boyle setting up any goals, on purpose. Road Runner.

Boyle has bags of pace but he does nothing with it. The other teams in the league have figured out how to play against him and he really needs to add basic ball control and a final pass / crossing to his game to make it at this level.

If he can do this at Hibs then this will be a good move.

Got speaking to a guy last night who's worked with Boyle.Apparently,although Boyle is a great worker,he isn't any better now than he was a few years ago when we signed him as he fails to take on simple instructions.He can be told the same things repeatedly but it almost allways fails to register.

Boyle's contract runs out at the end of the season I believe.

Perhaps he's signing/signed for Hibs on a PCA and to get him immediately they're willing to give us Harris for a short spell on loan?

That's the only other way I can understand it.

Perhaps Hartley has had enough of Boyle and doesn't rate him. Boyles had enough chances to stake a claim for a jersey imo bit he's clearly not up to it. He can run fast that's about it.

Not going to lay into Boyle here but we badly need some changes and so be it to ship some out also. There's others who will hopefully following on out the door to bring in more quality.

I reckon hibs have got much the better of this deal.

Harris was good when he first broke into their team but has been brutal ever since.
