Maybe advise a little bit caution here, just in case some observers misinterpret what you are about ....Aye it's the age we are living in :happyno:

Mair seriously Boba, I hope those DFC  lads & lassies, mums & dads, help make the day, a raging success for themselves and DFC :bouncy:

Superb deals, hopefully we can see a near full Shankly with that sort of pricing. If twenty notes for 2 adults and six kids can't get people/families in then I doubt much will (apart from when there's silverware to be lifted). Here's hoping the Americans put on the full works off the pitch and the team put on the performance of the season on the pitch so that some of these kids and adults want to come back.

I applaud the initiative but this isn't a sustainable model going forward so think people need to realize this won't be a barometer of the success of lowering gate prices - it will be a barometer of slashing the gate price to an unsustainable level plus putting on a (presumably expensive) entertainment piece in the stand below. This will cost the club money rather than turn a profit (obviously we'll make a profit on gate receipts but it will be lower than if we just charged usual PATG prices)

I'm a bit confused as well - as a ST holder in the Bobby Cox with 2 kids, and attending with my pal who also has 2 kids, if we want to be part of the fun day do we need to sacrifice our tickets and PATG in the Shankly?

I'm all for attracting new fans but (and a lot of businesses are guilty of this) ignoring your existing fan base is not a smart move.

'Supporters who have season tickets will be able to exchange their usual seats for tickets in the Shankly in the ticket office'.

So far the club have advertised face painting and competitions. That wont cost very much. In this day and age it wont excite youngsters either. Reducing the prices hasn't significantly increased attendances in the past.

You can swap your BC ticket for a Shankly ticket at no extra cost.

Totally agree, we need to do something exciting to get these potential supporters to Dens regularly.

Have you read the announcement on the official site? There are still details being worked out, but it does look as though the club are making a serious attempt to fill the Shankley. I hope the Grumpy supporters stay in their own ST seats, unless they change their way of supporting the club when there are families around!

Getting the players involved is a big step forward IMO,and the training session mentioned should be very interesting. All the football manager experts should be there to see how the club is dealing, in their training sessions, with the regular criticisms that are raised about the style of play.
