I did say maybe it was the case barkblue , I take on board the inactivity and being played out of his natural position but wherever he plays his demeanour reminds me of a certain Ryan Conroy.

D'you know I wasn't going to mention it because it was a two bit testimonial, but his demeanour last night suggested he'd rather be anywhere else than where he was.

However he still had a decent game and took his goal well, but he might be wondering if he's made the right decision coming here.

For me a much maligned player. He had lots of flaws in his game but (and it pains me to say it) I thought Brown got Conroy to work a lot harder, tracking back and even trying to put the odd tackle in. It seemed to me that Conroy was a guy who needed someone to crack the whip, he'd been getting by on what he did well but had more to give.

He'll always get a pint from me for this alone....

I'm not trying to open this debate up to include another of our maligned players, but how good was an out of shape Brain Easton? I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Cat among the pigeons there, would you drop Holt for Easton ? I rated him and was sorry (but not surprised) to see him go. I'd have him back as an option and competition for the LB berth as I think we've been light on that position, the much maligned Danny Williams being our best alternative but Holt has been pretty good too.

To me LB is one of the areas we don't really have to be looking at, but if you're asking me for a straight Holt V Easton match up, then Easton on points for me. He's just that little bit more potent going forward for my money.

He's a bit older and wiser but I'd take Holt to be honest, but then, I hear he's got tomatoes to spare and happy to give away to the believers.

I agree, Easton before Holt.  Referee stopped the fight in Round 5 for me though.  A better all round LB at this time imo.

Aye, IMO too but long term I think Holt will develop. We might even get some cash for him, I doubt we would for Easton, not in Scotland anyway.

Ah well, that's that settled then, either black or white, nothing in between, good guy or w**k and give the wanks pelters. I suppose it depends why you go to the football.

Not at all. Plenty middle ground where players can fall into with up and down displays. Much of our squad fall into that category.  Williams doesn't for me at present though.

I've seen him play well for ICT but that means nothing if he's not showing any signs of performing for us (in any position)

I go to the football hoping for a winning Dundee performance. Danny Williams' contribution thus far have been consistently poor and there no point in saying otherwise. He needs to improve.

And again we're back to the 'don't care' mentality! :P

Yep, I was sure to use the caveat 'at this time' for the same reason as yourself. KH is still the most frustrating player at Dens imo.  Like you I'm convinced he is capable of a lot more than what I am seeing and I can't put my finger on exactly what part of his game continues to give me doubts.

To me it's like buying a cat and expecting it to bark.

Aye. In that situation you'd get shot of the cat and buy a pooch.
