Vital Is Understatement

Read through a fair few posts re. Ross County game. No opinion on whether we will win, draw or lose...depends on how they play more than how we do IMO...we are in freefall and thank *** it's them up next rather than a team close to or above us.

Two ways to look at it...a draw maintains the gap and therefore brings us a game nearer safety...our original task...in the same way that the 6-2 also brought us a game nearer safety! A win obviously extends the gap and brings us probably 2-3 games nearer safety.

More worrying is that regardless of the final outcome, there are a lot of games to play, points to win, before end of season...and arresting the freefall will determine our fate, not the result of a single game in January. That's why a win is vital...not so much for the 3 points, handy as they would be, but to get us out of our current downward spiral.

Won't make up for Thursday, but 3 points today and on Saturday against Motherwell would go a long way to saving our season which is danger of unravelling. That would give us 27 points and leave only around 10-12 points from safety (I think the average for 10th place is 38 points).
