Tim Keyes Addressing The Manager and Players.....

Recommended Posts

Should go like this...

We are where we are. So this week we have Hamilton at Dens and a family fun day planned and maybe a wee bit more in the stadium.

Do you want to be in the top league next season?

Do you want top league wages?

Do you want to be playing and managing in a new cracking stadium?

So you want damaged cv's? (Looks at Hartley)

Do you want to let down thousands of people who have saved this old club twice and continue to support us home and away?

Think of your answers and then show me them on the park....or the consequences are very scary.

I honestly think PH is here to the end of the season, however if it came to it I think the players respect O'Dea and McPake, they could just be the guys to get the dressing room activated.

if we escape, I truly hope lessons are learnt, we should have been well clear of relegation by now.

Is Tim Keyes in the country just now?

Without wishing to put a damper on the OP's sentiment, which I agree with, the answers could be as follows '

Dundee may be in the top league, I might be punted after such a sh**e season.

Top league wages - i don't have a relegation clause. Anyway, I'm gone, remember

I won't ne here to see the new stadium. Anyway, will it happen?

Damaged CV - nobody will blame me for relegation.

I care about the fans as much as they care about me. Bunch of moaning cnuts anyway!

Partly tongue in cheek, but I'm not hoping for any inspirational speech t.b.h.

Tim Keyes is a very quiet guy and won't be addressing the players. He'll ask John Nelms for an update and will most likely tell him the plug's being pulled if we go down. The rest will be down to a MD that has failed to address this slide previously.

The direction (imo) should come from PH (as football Manager) as well as in this case  BOD (Tim Keyes & John Nelms)

The suggested method & content, as given above by OP, directed straight at the players, may well get the message home.

But is there nothing to be gained by inviting the players individually (& privately) to have a one to one chat with Tim Keyes?

It can be made clear they are not being forced to come into the office. & the whole idea of  this, is to simply hear their view.

This may look like I want to do a demolition job on PH behind his back. Not my intention at all. Opportunity to express views.

When it comes to discussing the issues of the situation of the Club/& their position, players will be aware they are being heard.

I am just putting forward another idea, to help reach a successful outcome. The whole process has to be constructive & positive.

And I am no sure that lining up the players, for what basically is a bollockin' is going to achieve the result we're looking for:chaplin:

And nor should he be addressing the players, that's Hartley's job and, frankly, i doubt any of our players would be very interested in listening to what Keyes had to say.

There is nothing positive to be gained from inviting the players individually for a private chat with Tim Keyes. It's highly unlikely that anyone who takes Keyes up on his offer will go into his office with the intention of accepting blame or responsibility for our sorry plight. People who go into managers offices for one to one private chats, when things aren't going well, are doing so to point the finger rather to offer any constructive advice imo. If this private one to one was to happen then I personally think it could be the final nail in our coffin this season.

If anyone has anything to say it should be done as a group, that way it can be dealt with, nobody has anything to hide and everyone knows where they stand.
