Terrific news for them and I wish them all the luck in the world with it. Brilliant gesture from the Weirs, too. Thistle aren't the only football club they help out either if I remember right.

Hopefully it is a self sustainable model and after the injection, Thistle don't have to rely on handouts to keep it on the go.

Think this is the whole problem with football. You need to improve the players you have so that you can sell them to balance the books. Spending £4m on a training facility must have additional running costs associated with it. Look at the decline of our neighbours. Big investment in training facilities and short term success when selling players, but it isn't sustainable. Our loss of Hemmings and Stewart seems to be panning out the same way.

Agree entirely that Partick Thistle have deserved their luck, and created the environment for support. I think we have had the same luck with our American investors but our results on the pitch have let everyone down.

Interesting to see a very mature set of comments from Cammy Kerr in our local paper. Exactly the right tone. We all have to get behind the players.
