Dereliction Of Duty By Nelms and Hartley

Both Nelms and Hartley failing miserably in their roles.

Its quite clear Hartley is going nowhere and has full autonomy at the club as Nelms is clueless. Keyes must be off his head putting this muppet in charge of his investment.

As for senior players like McGowan,Odea etc they are also culpable and should be getting Hartley telt to get back to basics. When was the last time we had a clean sheet? Teams can't win if they can't score.

Best case scenario we avoid automatic relegation and scrape through the playoffs.

After yesterday though we are fecked.

Doing nothing here is not an option.

Nelms is supposedly in charge and has to demonstrate why that's the case in the next few days.

We are absolutely rudderless and badly in need of someone to take charge of the situation.

What we saw on the park yesterday with players answering back to the manager is almost unheard of at this level. Almost definitely Hartley would have been sacked at any other club by now.

Really never thought I'd be saying this but I'd bite yer hand off for a playoff right now if offered as I canna see us winning again under PH, before yesterday I thought we would maybe be okay, however my optimism was shot down in mid flight after that second goal went in for Hamilton and I realised just a how poor we are under Hartley now, these next few weeks are gonna be phucking torture for all Dees one way or another.

ICT are a poor outfit but it looks like they showed some fight at least yesterday getting it back to 2-2 before succumbing to defeat eventually.. our 2 away games coming up give me the fear, even with our good record at Fir park, the way we've been playing I wouldn't fancy us against anyone right now.

If we keep PH and we end up in the playoffs, I wouldn't trust this side to have the bottle over 2 legs unfortunately but who knows they might surprise me..?

The failure to organise our defence this season has been a dereliction of duty. Somebody at the club surely has to make a case for appointing a defensive coach to put things right.

We've shipped 53 goals and that's with us getting away with 90% of our bad defending because the opposition aren't competent enough to take advantage.

I find it a bit unreasonable to throw our failures at Nelms. The guy has worked very hard to give Hartley all the tools necessary to do his job and backed up a guy who has generally been held in good regard at our level.

Things have started to unravel but we don't know what he's saying to Keys who is the guy that will be making the decision.

It's easy to play Football Manager and share our consensus as gospel but at the end of the day, it's quite a major call to make either way and their own finances are at stake. They'll be taking it seriously.

Don't like this culture of heaping so much blame on the hierarchy in this sort of situation. Football isn't simple and they can make decisions that maybe seem entirely logical and with good intentions but massively back fire when certain conditions line up.

Anyway, I'll be checking twitter all day tomorrow. Conversations will be happening IMO.

I've seen the "nothing to lose" quote get bandied about but I'd suggest we still have everything to lose, whatever the BOD decide it will be well thought through and they'll have more info than us lot speculating. As you say Harry, they're throwing a lot more money into the club than we are so will be a lot less knee jerk than us, they'll maybe have more of an idea if they plan on being here for 1 year, 5 years or 20 years, that might have an impact on how they see things too.

Loving that its now a dereliction of duty, failing miserably blah blah blah that John Nelms hasn't sacked the manager, it doesn't matter how nobly you dress it up, if FPS want to keep PH they'll be doing it for what they think are the best reasons. No matter what we think or how much we whip ourselves into a frenzy over it.

Or we could just get a semi competent manager in place who could organise the defence.

The defence isn't the only issue here though. Yes they have been poor but that is also down to our powderpuff midfield.

Should we get a midfield coach as well?
