I think it's a pretty bad article and poorly nuisanced. It's no use compiling a list and not giving context to certain players signings (for example, Heffernan was here for a few months and was intended as a stop gap which he did OK and linked things up) and I don't think there's actually been that much research (calling Faissal a miss is really daft at this stage). Adding development players is also a bit daft.

The argument about the number of players signed is always pretty disingenuous tbh. The main issue is the first team players that we've committed to long term and the balance of the squad in that time. An odd cheap loan for somebody like Rhys Healey has nothing to do with why Hartley run into trouble here.

You have to wonder just how much a lesser-known 'journalist' has actually seen of most of these players.

To take just one, very recent, example...."Higgins has featured twice since signing from Celtic in January. He played well against Hearts, less so against Hamilton. He’s still only 19." Higgins was our MoM on saturday, and also made the Sunday Mail 'team of the day', out of 10 clubs' defenders (County/Celtic excluded). I can imagine the writer saw him at Tynecastle, but did he see him against Hamilton?....on Alba? I have my doubts.

The comment posted below the article would also indicate that regular Scotsman readers are perhaps none too impressed with his abilities. A 'miss', perhaps?

It's maybe unfair for me to bring BBC into this discussion again Wood' as eh ken we probably should be talking aboot the Article.

But wi' you mentioning ..."wonder just how much a lesser-known 'journalist' has actually seen of most of these players" I believe

same comment applies to BBC Sports Radio Scotland....."The  DFC  Fans do like/do not like some players/ manager, because"

....then they go on to spout off some unfounded nonsense & made up stories    (Oh weel maybe they're just over-worked):chaplin:
