Uchh I had no complaints when we let him go, seems to have settled down a bit at Hibs, but still a bit wasteful, think it'll always be a part of his game. Good to see him doing well though, when he's on a game he must be a nightmare

I wouldn't say that at all, the way he played when he was at Dens I agreed with him leaving. However, he's been a regular (as far as I'm aware) for a Hibs team that won the league with games to spare, in a league that is more difficult than it was when we came up. I'd say he's a decent championship player who can allow you to get behind teams and create chances

What impact would a 'decent championship level' midfielder have made to our season?

He cant control a ball, his finishing is poor as is his delivery 9 times out of 10. He can't tackle. His positioning is awful.

Still, he can run fast. Boy have we missed him.

When did I say he would have made an impact on our season?

I said we were right to let him go, but that he isn't awful and can get behind and create chances in the championship, calm yersel

The thing is - he's a terrible footballer. If you want to go forward, you can't hold onto terrible footballers.

We've read all season about the signings being poor and rightly so in some instances. I'd rather read that the new boys are poor rather than holding onto poor players because they can run fast.

He would bring absolutely nothing to the team and anything he did would be negated by the fact he can't hold the ball up, can't control it and can't play football. For players like Boyle to succeed, opposition need to play high lines. Name one team we've played in the top flight that play with a high line against Dundee.
