I Am Making Some Big Assumptions Here but Should Dundee Players.

As indicated above, this Topic, will be full of "ifs & buts.

If Dundee FC survive this season & avoid relegation ... If we have NM, or even a different new manager in place ... Should the BOD/DFC/Manager even consider another pre new season "jolly" to the Austrian Alps or wherever it was they went?

I will be totall;y honest here i saying when I initially heard this, and when seeing the hotel & training facilities available, & generally the whole environment, & the camaraderie that appeared to be developing between all the DFC playing squad & staff .... I thought we had hit the jackpot :bouncy:

Not only a Huge Big Plus for DFC & Players...But a message to everyone (even future posible signings) that although we maybe had not quite "arrived"

Dundee FC ( Yes Our Club) were well on our way. I thought this quality break was showing a reflection of our future plans & ambitions :)

NOW I SIMPLY THINK I GOT IT ALL WRONG !!

NO BLAME AT ALL TO THE CLUB AND BOD !!

I do not know exactly why this did not work. Because as I said above, I thought the whole idea was really brilliant.

In hindsight, not only was it a waste of money, it did not work IMO.   Any views from others would be appreciated?

High-temperature training has quite a big impact on fitness and is something that almost every top flight and second tier (full time) club does. It's not something special that we do over anyone else so I don't think we should really overestimate the impact of it and raise expectations alone.

Whoever is in charge deserves the best backing we can give and it's something which seems affordable and will allow a fitness boost so I don't see any reason why not to continue.

Hello Harry ... I'm honestlly not trying to be akward here (although maybe it shows how obtuse I am)

On a geneneral level I think I can see the benefits. But in this case was there really  any benefits?:)

I wouldn't say there was many a benefit when players couldn't be trusted not to go out and get pished.

It seemed to me the whole concept was grand. In the first day or two it seemed to go to plan  :happyyes:

And then it all kinda disintegrated. At least in part, & probably for the reasons you gave above :sadno:

Whatever plans are decided on, it wid be good to start a new season wi' real intent & promise :bouncy:

You can have all the banter you want but you need to have quality players on the park to deliver. That's arguably what we have not had this season (amongst other things).

A good team spirit with lack of quality works, if you have a bunch who have a bit between their teeth. We, sadly, only have 2 or 3.

The only real bearing it has over the first half of the season is how quickly you can come out of the traps and be organised to get points on board early doors imo.
