McCann's Influence.

Recommended Posts

Although we drew today, I think Neil McAnn has done a great job for the club.

To get 7 points from the last three games with a team that had just lost 7 games on the bounce is quite and achievement.

County was probably our most difficult fixture and we should have won the game.

An interesting dilemma  coming up for Messrs Nelms and McCann.

i know what I would like to happen.

Get the Dundee FC 80's gang style cardy in the club shop as homage to NM ?

So long as the old casuals don't start a revival with them !

PS Just a bit of fun before we go off on an irresponsible post diversion :giggle:

I loved my Dundee cardies. Woman who knitted them on her machine in St Mary's must have made a small fortune. 2 week waiting list, what with the futba ains and the gang ains.

I noticed McCann offering Kerr lots of encouragement in the first half after a couple of wayward crosses.

(Previously PH would have been heard from the Derry have a go at him for similar efforts).

Kerr then turned in another MOM performance.

Is it any wonder we have seen such a marked improvement throughout the entire squad the last 3 weeks?

McCann has had a huge impact.

Completely agree. Although we have conceded a few goals we look a lot more solid outfit and everyone seems to know thief jobs.

Also good to see him always interacting with players from the line when he gets the chance.

It has been a very encouraging start and he has totally galvanised the support. Dens hasn't felt like that for a long time.

I know it's early doors but if he wants the job full time I don't see how we can't give him it.

The atmosphere today was brilliant. Why don't we back the team like that all the time?

We stayed off the players backs and encouraged them for 90 mins and it really seemed to make a difference.

If only it was as easy to do as it is to type.

Yeah Hartley was just too gruff, negative and dull basically. He couldn't communicate properly. He lacked intelligence AND emotional intelligence.

McCann has certainly had an impact but I have a feeling players get tired adhering to the methods of any manager after a certain amount of time. You look at the way the Chelsea players turned on Mourinho and the Leicester players gave up on Ranieri and you wonder if modern players just get sick of the same old routines and disillusionment builds over time.
