MOTHERWELL have welcomed the news that Stephen McManus's controversial red card in their defeat to Aberdeen has been rescinded.

The 32-year-old defender was shown a straight red by match official Willie Collum after being hit at point-blank range by Jonny Hayes' shot on the goal line.

New 'Well gaffer Ian Baraclough later called the decision a 'travesty' in his post-match interview and the SFA today agreed that their man Collum had made the wrong call as the Judicial Panel met at a Fast Track Tribunal hearing at Hampden this morning.

I believe that this is the third Red card issued by Collum that has been recently rescinded.

I do not understand how Collum is a FIFA rated referee as in my opinion he is not fit to referee football matches on Fairmuir Park.
