Alex Neil Says Farewell To Hamilton Players Ahead Of Norwich Move

Alex Neil has said his final farewells to players and staff at Hamilton Academical, after agreeing a move to Norwich.

Player-manager Neil had been granted permission from Hamilton to speak to the Carrow Road outfit about the vacancy and is now set to travel south to complete the move.

Hamilton will be entitled to a transfer fee for Neil as a player, in addition to compensation for losing their manager. Negotiation on the fees is not expected to be an issue.

Since taking charge at New Douglas Park in April 2013, Neil had led the club to promotion through the play-offs last season after beating Hibernian in the final.

On arriving in the top flight, Accies have impressed under Neil’s leadership and currently sit in third place in the table.

Norwich currently sit seventh in the English Championship with 37 points from 24 matches and Neil will be targeting promotion to the English Premier League, with the play-offs still well within reach for the Canaries.
