Sebastiano Nela Posted 26 June 2017 Report Share Posted 26 June 2017 We can loan Halliday - It's Celtic we cant loan another player from as we already have Allan on loan. Only 1 player per team in the same division allowed.
Guest Posted 26 June 2017 Report Share Posted 26 June 2017 (edited) According to the rules (taken from STV website), we can't loan another player over the age of 21. Can have up to 4 players on loan, one from each club in same division. That could well be out of date though, and may be changed for new season, but as per SFA nothing is ever clear haha Edited 26 June 2017 by Guest

It's been posted on here on a few occasions that it's only 1 loan from the entire SPFL. Hopefully someone can clarify.

Ricky Spanish Posted 26 June 2017 Report Share Posted 26 June 2017 Greg Stewart apparently very close to signing a season-long loan deal with the sheep.

The wording is a bit dodgy and could be better emphasised with some parenthesis but in the May 2017 publication, it is permitted to have multiple players from the same division but only one per club. However, we cannot sign Halliday on loan as clause (ii) limits the number of over 21 loan players you can have in your squad to one (which both Halliday and Allan exceed). Subject to these Regulations a Club shall not:- (i) at any time have an aggregate of more than four Players Scottish FA Registered to it on the basis of Standard Temporary Transfers and Emergency Temporary Transfers combined; (ii) at any time have Scottish FA Registered with it on the basis of Standard Temporary Transfers and Emergency Temporary Transfers combined more than one Player who is not be an Under 21 Player; (iii) in any one Season Play in all Competitions more than two Players Scottish FA Registered with it on the basis of Standard Temporary Transfers and Emergency Temporary Transfers combined who are/were not Under 21 Players; (iv) at any time have more than one Player Scottish FA Registered with it on the basis of Standard Temporary Transfers and Emergency Temporary Transfers combined from any one Club for the time being in the same Division as itself; (v) at any time have more than two Players Scottish FA Registered with it on the basis of Standard Temporary Transfers and Emergency Temporary Transfers combined from any one Club for the time being in another Division from itself; and

Is it not 2 players from another division?. I'm confused.

No two players from the same club if you're in a different division. The rule was changed when we signed Adam Cummins from Motherwell on loan and then when about to finalise the signing of Bob McHugh, we fell foul to the old rule which was one player from any team. They took our complaint and changed the rule so you could sign two from the same club but only if you're in a different division. If we wanted, we could sign four from the top flight but we couldn't have more than one from the same team and they'd have yo meet the other clauses.

The word is he was supposedly there to meet Scott Bain. Hemmings was 100% at Dens on Saturday. Not sure why though...
