36 should be enough, and that's being very generous to the bottom two. If Ross Co get 25 points from 18 games, I'm an Arab! considering they have 11 from 20 games so far.

So we have to get 11 points from 17 games. ASAP please.

Having seen how inconsistently good/bad we can be, and how easily we slipped into that run of defeats & poor performances, there's one simple points target I'd really like to see achieved by the split......that (if we don't make the top 6) we go into it points clear of whoever the bottom two clubs are.

That's the only way I'd be sure we'd not emulate Hibs, with a freefall into the Championship.

The memory of that disastrous season, when we blew a 12 (or was it 9??) point advantage in the last 5 games, is still too clear!

Incidentally, there's a popup box on this site asking for a "BBCode", from a drop-down list....what the * is that about?

34 points will be enough for 10th.

3 more wins.

Thinking 34 and 36 would be enough but 38 would be quite comfortable.

Let's beat Killie (who have been sh**e recently) at Dens and St Mirren in Paisley to close in on it.

We were never 9 points clear with all teams to play 5 games, another myth created by the DABS.

Quite like the 15 points clear of Inverness myth that goes around. There were like three games in hand or something like that. I think when it was 12 points there were four games in hand IIRC.

Agreed, we never did blew a 15 point lead. They had about 4 games in hand or something like that and they went on to win nearly every game, we fell apart.

Would have went up under Jocky I still believe. Patience is needed during bad runs!

I guess we'll never know but that last signing of Bob Malcolm never quite inspired me! Chris Casement on a three year deal without seeing him play should have been a sackable offence on it's own!

That Inverness team were actually very very good winners to be fair, better than most years. They brought in an experienced 'keeper in Ryan Esson who did well. A strong defence with Bulvitus (who seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth), Proctor, Tokely and Munro who were brilliant at that level. Then they had Rooney, Foran and Hayes as attacking options.

We had a collection of individuals and even after spending all that money, we never sorted out our defence. Tried to sort it in January but Pavels Mihadjuks f**ked us over with his late demands for agent money so we got Bob Malcolm instead. Mihadjuks ended up being pish anyway for United but may have been decent enough at that level.
