It's stranger when they don't even advertise it's open.

We all knew what the crowd would be around today. If it makes things easier for cash gates, open it when you are anticipating 6k+ but it has been pointless today, Ross County and Inverness games.

It'd have to be opened anyways as the Main Stand has no disabled facilities and I noticed 7-8 Motherwell fans (Scarfs) sitting at that section in the Shankly.

Shocking decision to open it. More money on staff to work there than possibly what we took in

Only good thing is it will cost Lindleys money to staff the kiosk in there and they must have taken in £20

Any posters on here in the Shankly today? It must have been baltic with that wind right in your puss.

Crazy opening that stand. Put the disabled supporters in the enclosure and give them free pies from hospo.

The Shankly is opened for home fans because not only is it PATG, any valid ticket for the match (season or shop-bought) gets you in there. The logic being that someone already holding a ticket might end up bringing along someone else who isn't.

It makes sense in the context of an all-ticket policy for the other three stands. Whether or not that policy makes sense is certainly up for debate.
