A great day indeed and one that will live long in the memory. We were also in the south enclosure and tbh we were expecting a bit of a hammering especially when the tic took the lead. From then on it was just one of those days where everything we did just worked. All this with Peter Millar in midfield!!! Seem to remember some bother with the tic fans afterward who were of course none to happy.

Scotsport had the highlights on the Sunday I think and closed the show to Manfred Manns 5-4-3-2-1. Class.

I was 14 at the time, and always stood down beside the wall and I enjoyed every second of that day.

I remember coming out of the south enclosure with my family and my Dad making sure I was close to him as the bottles started flying everywhere. It was the first time I had ever seen trouble at a game and for a 14yr old was quite scary. lol

Remember coming out onto Dens Road and it was absolute carnage, the traffic was stopped and numerous folk were rolling around in the road. No Police around either.

Can't remember exactly what it was but seem to remember something got burned down by the Tic fans.  Then manager Billy McNeil saying next day "the best thing about this club is the supporters".  Good ane!
