Main Stand Odour!

Recommended Posts

We were sitting in the second back row last night in front of Miller and co.....there was a hideous reek which seemed to be engulfing the whole area and to be fair even though they were quite close to us I don't think it was the DABS. Anyone else notice it? We decided it was the drains and the fact we were closer to the roof we were suffering the most.

It's fertilizer. Smell it on a warm night. Either something used on the pitch or from nearby allotments.

Sorry, that was me. I was shiteing it before kick-off.

Guid ain 8utters (& minds me o' a story)

When eh wis serving meh time in a factory, near 60 yrs ago, there wis naturally, the usual rough & tumble & coorseness

At lunch break, we used tae gather roond a cardboard box, for wir usual card game. And whether it was this excitement,

or the gulping doon o' were pieces, there was aye a build-up, o' the pong o' smelly farts. But always thought, for guys that

were happy to talk aboot the basest o' subjects in foulest of manner. Nane wid ever tak responsibility....for letting one go.

One day when the pong was at it's highest level, everyone was accusing everyone else & each in turn, resolutely denying it.

It came to this guy "Weel then. Did you Fart !!"

And him turning his head, and quietly stating,

"Certainly Did. You don't think I smell like this

all the time, do you" Maybe no funny now  but

made me laugh. And how to respond to insults.
