Premiership.

I expect our top league to show a healthy increase in crowds this season, with Hibs back in the league with a decent side and an improved Rangers.

We can expect a full Shankley more often than not, which is good for our finances.

Its more important than ever that we stay in the division as the rewards will continue to increase as the leagues success grows.

I hope upon hope that NM can move on enough players to release funds for a striker, this will be the key to our survival.

If DFC & the BOD, have genuine ambitions for or our Club, they really have to do everything in their power...(inspired decisions, as well as further investment)

As it stands at the moment we (DFC) are up here:)And they (you know who I mean) are doon there:lol2:It would not be the end of the world if they were to win

promotion they are striving for. But it would be, if it were at the expense of us. (Like most I presume, I would be happier if they diappeared) But in terms of the

Derbys & the much needed additional funds, it would not be so bad. To quote Spirit ...  "Its more important than ever that we stay in the division as the rewards

will continue to increase as the leagues success grows" ... How true that is. (Good Topic Subject Freend)

We cant go through this season, (like last season) with our head in the sand. End up in a dog-fight trying to keep up in the Premiership. Managing to scrape by.

I mentioned on another post about 30 mins ago, the affect losing three good players had on our season. This time, if it is at all financially possible, I hope the

Manager & Board are preparng & planning NOW !! As stated above in OP, we can expect increased crowds/finance. But with that comes much tougher games.

All that is good news. But we have to be ready for the higher standard of opposition. The BOD must be aware of the money from two utd  games (& now celtic)

It's no' good enough for us to shout about us being THE MIGHTY DEE & THE ONLY CITY PREMIERSHIP CLUB. Although we are. We have got to stay there:chaplin:

I noticed on Sky Sports News last week that the opening week's Scottish Premiership attendances were up 17,000 on last season's opening day. I think the total was around 110,000?

The biggest difference appeared to be that Hibs had a 17,600 crowd, around 15,000 more than ICT might have had at home (though it was County that were at home, to us, last season). Aberdeen's crowds have been good, and even though they had Hamilton at Pittodrie, I think they had over 15,000.

Rangers 'improved'?....:) ....almost 10,000 at Fir Park, though around 4,000 below capacity, but the gaps seemed to be in the home stands.

It'll be interesting to see how the average figures develop over the season. I'm sure the clubs are reporting split home/away fan figures to the SPFL, but I've not seen this split published in the totals/averages.

I can imagine the league next year being even stronger if the dabs getup (yuk) .

Its essential that we survive, remember we are still coming back from many years of neglect and our current manager is having to deal with some ludicrous contracts handed out by Hartley to several ordinary players.

We are not far away, with a bit of luck and some wheeling and dealing, McCann should turn us around.
