Hi Garageflower,

I am certainly not a troll as I am prepared to set up new topics on this forum.

One of the joys of being retired (apart from lying in my bed until 10am instead of getting up over two hour earlier to go to work) is that I have plenty of time post my knowledge on the Dark Blues Forum.

There are just so many comments that quite, tongue in cheek, be posted about the above, but they'd all whoosh past in the Islay stratosphere... 🙂

Too much time mate. Are you seriously going to make an official objection to the stadium?

He doesn't even live in Dundee. He has Munchausen Syndrome I reckon; absolutely loves the attention.

There is nothing wrong with the proposed stadium just the proposed site. Unless there is a dramatic change in the plans shown at the pre-application meeting it will be a nightmare for motorists attempting to leave the stadium car parks at the end of game. That is my main concern.

That doesnt answer my question:

What’s your solution?

My solution is a new interchange where traffic leaving the stadium and travelling down the Kingsway towards Invergowrie would leave via a flyover over the Kingsway.

That would allow traffic leaving the stadium and heading east down the Kingsway or into town to use the existing slip road to the Camperdown roundabout whilst traffic heading north towards Birkhill would leave the stadium car park via the access road which currently serves the ice rink, cinema and Premier Inn travelodge.

There will still be chaos at the end of the game when everybody is trying to get their car out of the stadium car parks at the same time  but at least the traffic heading down the Kingsway will have their own dedicated departure road onto the Kingsway.

The current plans have all traffic using the existing slip road onto the Camperdown roundabout

Yes. Unless there is change to the existing departure routes from the stadium car parks shown in the pre application plans.

The Dundee directors will not be affected as after they have had their post match hospitality in the board room the traffic chaos will have reduced or be finished.

Too bad if Dundee supporters are sitting in their car stuck in the stadium car parks  in a mammoth traffic jam as everyone tries to leave at the same time.

That will certainly make headline news especially if it is downloaded onto the internet for all to see.

We have not seen the current plans as FPS have had discussions with Transport Scotland that we have not been party to.

FFS give it a rest.

Do you honestly believe you are the only person that has arrived at this conclusion having viewed the current plans?

Well, you ain’t. Most of us though, recognise that is exactly why the club are currently in discussions with Transport Scotland; attempting to find a solution that works for all. It’s not rocket science to understand that.

Do us all a favour. Pour yersel a dram and chill the f*ck out

Hi BCG.

I previously posted that the plans I am unhappy about are the plans shown at the pre Application meeting last year and published in the Evening Telegraph.
