Did you not go and see the plans when they were at the ice rink?

The whole complex will have a one way system when entering and leaving

As far as I am aware the only access road being used to the stadium car parks is to and from the A90. Whilst there is less likelihood of traffic jams prior to the start of the game there will certainly be major problems when everybody tries to leave the stadium car parks after the end of the game.

What happens if a car driver tries to access the retail shops, hotel, or houses at the same time as hundreds of cars are trying to the leave the stadium car parks at the end of the game. Are these car drivers banned from accessing and leaving these properties from 2pm until 5.30pm on football match days.

If the one way system shown in the plans was foolproof then why are the directors of Dark Blue Holdings still in discussion with Transport Scotland about the access routes for the new Stadium development.

I am very disappointed to receive a ‘thumbs down’ minus point from Tayportdee regarding my concerns of the proposed one way system for the new stadium, retail and housing complex at the former NCR Camperdown grounds. I am also disappointed that Rivers Cuomo did not reply to my post.

If Tayportdee does not agree with my concerns I look forward to his solution to the current traffic problem.

Islay.. you’re basing all this on initial concept drawings!!

The access solution and final proposal is under development.

How can you have concerns when you’ve not seen what’s being proposed?

In post 1403 Rivers Cuomo asks if I went to see the plans showing the proposed one way system at the Ice Rink in September 2017. I and probably most Dundee supporters assumed that these lavish plans were about to be submitted to the Dundee City Council planning for consideration and recommendation or refusal by the planners to the Dundee City Councillors on the planning committee.

I have had a previous experience of a similar situation on Islay.

In 2015 Bruichladdich Distillery submitted plans to construct ten new warehouses and they were displayed to the public in Bruichladdich Hall prior to them being submitted to the planning department of Argyll and Bute Council.

I’m struggling to make the connection-  why don’t we all wait and see what the experts in planning/transport make of the plans . Let the architects do their drawings . Let the builders build . And then you won’t need to ask Tayport Dee or rivers to respond. With the rapidly dwindling number of supporters at games that is often posted, the number of vehicles entering /exiting the ground will be also going down?

What one way system? Again, this is just a visualization.

Yep, I'm struggling to see any one-way system there. A lot of car parking spaces though.😉

I personally think all those parking spaces should be reserved for the young with the old and frail made to walk from Ardler.

They could use the subsoil excavated for the foundations to built some hills around the stadium. Abody loves a hill.

Thanks Attilio for putting that impression up and reminding me in amongst the relentless negativity around FPS and the new stadium plans how great and exciting this project is. Like the current team/ league position/ McCann threads continual regurgitation of same points doesn’t really stimulate debate.
