Yes,a one way system was proposed.  I seem to remember that after taking a slip road from the kingsway, cars would take the road all the way around the stadium, then arrive back at the bottom car park.

If that is the proposal then the pedestrian crossing traffic lights next to the small roundabout at the foot of the Timex Brae will have to switched off for at least one hour before the kick off otherwise traffic will be backing up on the roundabout above the A90 and the slip road from the Kingsway.

I’m struggling to make the connection-  why don’t we all wait and see what the experts in planning/transport make of the plans . Let the architects do their drawings . Let the builders build . And then you won’t need to ask Tayport Dee or rivers to respond. With the rapidly dwindling number of supporters at games that is often posted, the number of vehicles entering /exiting the ground will be also going down?

Hi DBK.

I would have assumed that all the transport problems had been been resolved with Transport Scotland prior to plans being displayed to the public at the Ice Rink in September 2017.

FFS Islay, most traffic will be coming direct from the west on Kingsway.

Rather than fanny about turning off pedestrian light controlled (PELIC&N) crossings for an hour prior to kick off thus endangering the safety of pedestrians surely it would be better to direct all traffic from the east on Kingsway down to Myrekirk at which point the traffic can join the queue from the west and safely enter the seemingly extensive one way traffic system within the complex?

Anyway, it's a moot point because the stadium is likely never to happen. But you carry on and object to its construction and base your objection on the ridiculous thought that some cars might have to queue. Then when that objection's laughed off you can think of something else - I recommend squirrels and / or rare fungi.

Let the planners do their jobs for all our sakes.

Hi PB,

Thank you for your post.

The main problem is not accessing the stadium car parks before the game but how potentially over 1,300 cars and up 60 supporters buses can all safely leave the car parks at the end of the game.

Plummeting support and yet 60 supporters buses , 1300 cars and all these pedestrians! I sometimes wonder how on earth I make it to dens from the west coast in under two hours managing to park and walk to dens - it’s a jungle out there

Hi DBK.

If we are still in the Premier League it is quite possible that when playing Rangers or Celtic that there will be 60 supporters buses in the stadium car park. There are Dundee supporters who live in the east or north part of the City and beyond who like you drive to home games at Dens. There are numerous roads around Dens which allow fans to travel north, south, east or west at the end of the game whilst the proposed departure route out of the new stadium car parks is only onto the slip road leading to the Camperdown roundabout.

Posters on this forum do not agree with my concerns so I will stick to my views and they can stick to theirs.

Im sure people running OF supporters buses will feed into the planning process these concerns that the links at the new stadium will be inadequate. Concert goers also who go to Murray field and Hampden will also share the concerns . Moving the goal posts back to your concerns Islay - they have previously been about Dundee supporters and the huge waits to get out of the stadium week in week out. Now you want to say it’s about when the old firm come to town. It’s a forum so I know and you know that you will post on this very thread the same complaints as you have been since it was created- all opinions welcome but you won’t move on and let the process run it’s course and answer your concerns

Come on admit it, you haven't actually seen the plans have you? If you had you'd have seen the exit directly onto the Kingsway.
