Creative & Exciting Losing Football or Boring Winning Games?

This does not specifically have to be about Dundee FC. And I accept even the Topic Heading in itself is possibly not correct.

Because I do not think it always has to be one thing or another. In fact, I'm not even sure it has to be. Can we not have both?

NM I think does want Dundee to play attractive, entertaining football (don't we all) & even accepting injuries, is this the way?

St Johnstone/Ross County are always held up as teams who play negative uninspiring stuff (do they really) But get results.

I do not see enough live football to know this is actually the case. But the question Would you be willing to grind out results?

Personally, I'm not convinced about this argument at all. But if that is the case I believe points over performance is priority.

I thought the two thing could & should go together. But if I have got this wrong, first & foremost it's points in the Premiership.

At the higher level, the requirement is to have both - entertainment and success. At our level, it's got to be success i.e. survival first and foremost. Not many of our fans complain when we play crap but win. Play well but lose...well, we are there a.t.m.

What riles me most is if we get beat and not threatened the keeper at all. (can accept when playing Celtic we prob wont have many chances)

I personally hate when we`ve been beat by say a Motherwell for example and not tested there keeper at all.

i never come away from a game happy if we`ve beat regardless if we have played well.

Its all about wins

I agree with posts above ... Ideally, every DFC fan & supporter would like to see both attractive & winning performances.

But coming away from a poor game with three points (whether deserving or not) makes that bitter pill easier to swallow.

I'm quite happy with an entertaining 3-3 draw and also an ugly 1-0 win. A defeat is never satisfying in any way.

What I hate more than anything is watching the opposition ease to victory with Dundee unable to lay a glove on them.

I remember back  when cowboy was manager we were awful to watch but were still grinding out wins..i think we were on course for promotion but he lost his job due to the style of play.

Nobody likes to get beat but me personally can handle it better if we have had a go..too many games last season we lost and had about 30% possession 0 shots on target 1 shot off target and no corners I get really p*ssed off when that happens

Personally I hated every minute of the win over Buckie thistle which was as ugly as they come. It was 30 stone woman dressed up as a nurse ugly.

Exciting football is what it is about. Win or lose I'll pay to watch it but there is no denying points are important.

Long story short exciting football Ober ugly wins.

Or Scott 'no hand's' Bain able to lay a glove on a simple ball.

I would rate Bain's performances as, at home games 90% effective  and ten per cent error since he came to the Club. Goalies are often remebered for goffs and not so much the game saving saves .

As for boring/exciting- Most of us would want to see exciting every game- as for the outcomes, if the Dee have given  their all  I can ask no more, win or lose .

For me it's how he deals with his mistakes. All 5ft of rage at everyone else bar himself. Plus all his guff he gave everyone on Twitter after Hemmings and Stewart left. He also believes he's bigger than Dundee which riles me. No one should be bigger than their club.
